Well our friends over there at Fox news, including former ambassador Bolton blamed Obama for the missing plane. I wonder if they are also VJers

You spelled it wrong. It's 0bama.

According to a report I read in "Die Welt" today, people on a tiny island in the Indian Ocean apparently report having seen a large, low flying jet on the morning of March 8 at around 6:15 am local time. That island is Kudahuvadhoo and it is within the distance that the plane could have flown. The timing works out as well. Additionally, there are several airstrips in the area long enough to land a 777-200 on that the pilot apparently practiced landing on with his flight simulator. The report states further that the plane - in addition to the 239 souls on board - also carried some other precious cargo which has not been identified. Essentially, the suggestion is that this may have been a giant heist. How about that?

Sorry, only have the story in German.

I didn't realize I was directing my commentary at anyone here. It was more of a comment directed at the media, actually.

But don't let that get in the way of your confusion.

You're so full of shite. It was directed at ExPat. Hence you saying if the families had to listen to the speculation here.

Man up, woman.

No, it was not directed at ExExpat. In fact, you're not even quoting me properly and you're putting words in my mouth. I did not mention the speculation HERE.

My exact wording was: "I feel sorry to the families if they're having to listen to the same conspiracy theories we are."

Have you turned on CNN lately? This is practically all they talk about and they know NOTHING. It's endless speculation and conspiracy theories with nothing to back up ANYTHING.

I feel very sorry for the families if they have to listen to the same garbage media we do, endlessly, while they try to deal with this.

There is trying to figure out what happened, and then there's sensationalizing a story. Giving it a title and theme music and the same BS this country's media always does when there's a big event.

Please don't tell me who I am talking to or what I'm talking about.

If it was directed at ExExpat, I would have quoted him.

That pretty much sums all news organizations these days, no matter what the story is about.

Yeah good ol cnn. The girlfriend of the American on board is disgusted with the media coverage.

But Americans like this kind of sensational news coverage, it's like reality tv. I don't watch cnn unless there is an event on going and I want to see live coverage.

I like a few shows on Msnbc for my political commentary and my regular news and current events I get from PBS newshour and various Internet resources.

Very true. I notice CNN more since it's always on in the warehouse at work here.

Years ago I used like watching CNN Headline News. They showed the news over and over again in 30 minute segments. You could always just turn it on to see what's going on without all the commentary. Now it's the Nancy Grace channel.

ETA: I think the BBC has something similar. Maybe I'll check that out.

You're lucky. In my space, it's a war between Fox news and MSNBC or CNN.

It surprises me too, since I am 99% sure everyone I work with is a hardcore Republican.

Even have a few Tea Party supporters here. Listening to conversations is funny.

I made the mistake of adding one to my Facebook since we get along pretty well. But now my news feed is flooded with the stuff he shares.

You can shut off a persons news feeds on fb without unfriending them. I have done this to a good number of people I'm friends with.
