Hello everyone, I received my letter today for my interview for my GC adjusting from K1...I'm a bit worried because it asks for

- "A medical examination (form i 693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)

I did my physical examination 07/16/2013 for my K1 visa, which was a chest x ray and a sealed envelope - however, they took it at the border and I never got it back?!

So does this mean I have to go get this form i 693 filled out by another doctor here??? I'm so confused, and my interview is in a month.

Did any of you make a complete checklist of what you brought that can share with me?

Any help I can get, I would REALLY appreciate it...

I made a copy of every form I sent them, but last week I was in Detroit volunteering to clean up the city and someone broke into my car, stole my backpack which had my laptop and binder of copies of all my forms I sent...including affidavt of support, i 485, i 765, i 131, etc...Did you bring those copies with you to the interview? Should I reprint them and fill them out as I did originally?

Thanks everyone!

Your case file including the medical info will be at the meeting you attend. The medical is good for one year. After one year you would have to get a new one including the 693.

If anything were missing they would ask you to submit it asap to complete the case. This happened to me and within two weeks of sending the case was completed; my G card issued.

Ok so because my original K1 medical was last July then I should be safe without needing 693?

Yes. I went to a local health clinic to have the additional shots and got a shot card but USCIS wasn't interested at all in anything other than what they had in the file. They never asked one question about medical.

You won't need the x-rays. Yes, we did take all the forms you mentioned to the interview along with an I-693 we updated because she didn't have all the vaccinations and it was marked 'incomplete'. They didn't look at one piece of evidence, not one! We did however bring everything they asked for in the letter for our appointment just in case they did ask for them. You should be good with the medical exam because it is within one year.

Just look at everything they ask for and try to have it with you when you go to the interview. If you have had all the vaccinations I wouldn't worry about the I-693, if not then you can go to a Civil Surgeon and get the paperwork filled out after you get the vaccinations.. I would get the vaccinations at a county health clinic or a free clinic if you can. Just take the paperwork you get from them to the doctor and they will fill out the rest.

Hope this helps? Good luck!:)
