The point is it seems like a lot of people just shrug and try to rationalize behavior or activities that they know are not allowed, but for some reason(s), believe that just because they are having fun or visiting for a long time or whatever should mean that those sorts of things should be overlooked...but in relation to the OP's original inquiry, a thorough CO will be concerned about how 3 college kids are going to realistically/believably finance a 6 month RV excursion around the US without doing those jobs that Americans won't do (which is itself another rationalization for looking the other way regarding illegals working in the US)...sorry, but the US of A does NOT owe a living or quality of lifestyle to everyone on the planet...American workers should not be shoved aside so foreigners can finance their tourism via unauthorized employment...tolerating this stuff means lower wages across many blue collar industries...why is that fair to the countless millions working in those same industries? So a handful of British students can finance their vacation at the expense of American citizens? Really? What would you say if you came to work, and were told you were fired so some foreign tourists could sub for you at half the cost? Would that fact just make you feel warm and fuzzy? I doubt it.

I have nothing against people coming here for legitimate tourism...I have a big issue with those who believe that our rules and regulations are just annoyances and should not apply to everyone...

RhettVoe posts an awful lot like the user Noah Lot, who seemed to regard long-term travelers with disdain and mistrust. Here is a link to a very similar thread involving Noah Lot, with sinilar comments.

Just an observation.

OP, the link I posted may be of interest to you, as it discusses a UK citizen who was denied a tourist visa.

I read those postings, and notice that many others jumped in to support Noah Lot, and it turned out, from what I read, that the original poster of that chain did indeed have other motives besides tourism that were behind his request for a B2 visa, ones he apparently did not wish to share with a VO, but wanted to see if anyone might provide him a credible story he could recite during his interview.

I don't recall telling the OP of this chain that he should not come to the United States, that he is not wanted, etc, but rather that obtaining a B2 visa might not be as easy as he may believe (or hope).
