Rhett voe thanks for the advice, as depressing as it was to read. However I think we may be able to find one for less than your price: (Although one of the guys has some family in America so we could register it to their address?).

Also include insurance in your calculations - if you plan to buy it. It may be quite significant, especially when you don't have US issued drivers license.

One cannot reset the 90 day clock while visiting on the VWP by going to Canada or Mexico...

No, but they could spend the first 3 months in Canada and then spend the next 3 months in the USA...or vice-versa.

They could

First being refused a B2 does not screw you for the VWP for ever. Maybe 6 months. Maybe not at all.

Usually you see this from OAP's. Their problem is Travel and Motor Insurance, yours is Motor Insurance. Canada would add another complication.

Some guys I used to work with did this years ago, they were able to pick up odd jobs to help, amusingly including where I first moved to in the US. Small world.

'odd jobs' meaning work....something that is not allowed by those in the US in B2 status......

Of course, landscaping whatever, jobs Americans do not want to do.

Just remembered, they cut grass in Boulder Colorado.

To the OP... if hiring a RV is looking too expensive, why not try Trek America. I did a trip with them once and it was awesome, they have loads of options for road trips and different types of accommodation to suit different budgets/tastes and you really get a feel for the country.

Still, with a B visa one is not allowed to work. Odd, even, small, medium, no matter the size of the job is it not allowed.

I know that, you know that, they knew that, everybody knows that.

What is your point?
