I was interviewed yesterday march 6 at the manila US embassy and I thought i brought everything that i needed for the interview but unfortunately when they asked me to show a certificate of no marriage or CENOMAR i forgot it. They instructed me to request a copy from NSO so i did it online yesterday after leaving the US embassy My question is.. how long will it take to receive my visa after this?

You are a cr1/ir1 visa right?

Im just wondering why do they need cenomar? Does the marriage contract is not enough?

Im also a CR1 visa applicant and have my schedule this coming Wednesday.

I went to NSO last Monday to get a CENOMAR coz i'm always reading here at vj and found out that the consul might ask for it. It took 4 working days and this morning i was able to get it.

You will fill up the CENOMAR slip even if you are married. Afterwards you will receive the what they called "CEMAR" or Advisory on Marriage.

Trust me. The consul asked me to provide a CENOMAR aside from marriage certificate. I guess they need to know if i was married before i met my husband now. Anyway i just called the manila US embassy and they told me to wait until they contact me.

I would be very careful with the NSO. Some people may try to rip you off. My wife tried to get a rush marriage certificate. She got it rather quickly instead of waiting the 3-6 months. She was able to attend a CFO seminar as well as get her name changed on her passport. She used the NSO marriage certificate for this. However when she applied for a tourist visa to visit me in Okinawa the Japanese embassy said the NSO marriage certificate was a fake. Now I'm not sure how they were able to determine this, and the Philippines didn't, but the Japanese denied the tourist visa.
