It's been over 3 months since I received my initial NOA2 on 11/21/13. On Tuesday when I called, I finally got notice from the customer service rep that they'd just received my petition. I knew something was different because this time the rep was asking for both the petitioner and beneficiaries name and date of birth. They said on Tuesday that they were just entering it into the system and to call back tomorrow to check on my case status. I called on Wednesday and when I gave my date of birth they said it was incorrect and in order to gain access to my case, I had to send a scanned copy of my passport to NVCinquiry@state.gov which I did immediately. On Thursday when I called they still had the wrong date of birth entered into the system. I told the rep that I emailed NVCinquiry@state.gov. The rep then asked me if I'd received an auto reply which I didn't. She said try emailing again until I receive an auto reply from NVCinquiry@state.gov. I sent three emails today to NVCinquiry@state.gov thinking that maybe the system was down but still no auto reply so I called back the NVC. The second rep I spoke with said don't worry about an auto reply, they'll get the email. So I decided to email NVCresearch@state.gov instead and finally received an auto reply.

This isn't the first time I've been given conflicting information from customer service reps at the NVC and USCIS. When I received my NOA2, it stated "forwarded to the listed consulate" and some of these reps were telling me that it could've been mailed to Accra by mistake, bypassing the NVC. It wasn't until I spoke to a tier 2 representative at the USCIS that I learned this was incorrect information. Is there any Tier 2 representatives that I can talk to at the NVC? I'm pretty convinced that this mistake was made at the NVC because on Tuesday when I called they had my correct date of birth and on Wednesday it was incorrect.

Has anyone else experienced difficulties receiving an auto reply after sending emails to the NVC? I hope I'm not missing out on time sensitive information by being locked out of my case. This is really frustrating.

The services reps are really confusing me at the NVC. They are telling me that if I don't receive an auto reply after sending out an email to NVCinquiry@state.gov that means the email didn't go through. I sent out 8 emails from different computers & email accounts, trying to get an auto reply. I told them I emailed NVCresearch@state.gov and got an auto reply but they said they don't handle that issue. The only other option I have is to physically mail a scanned copy to the NVC tomorrow which I'm going to do. Which is crazy because the NVC doesn't even take documents for K1 petitions.

I'm assuming I'm still going to receive my hardcopy in the mail that the NVC mailed out my petition and I'm also assuming that will have my case number on it so I'll be able to fill out the rest of the forms regardless of whether the NVC is able to correct the issue.

I wonder if the NVC will even accept documents from a K1 filer or just throw it out.
