When you got your NOA1, they should have adjusted your alien registration number. If not, I would contact USCIS and find out why it wasn't updated. I think this gets adjusted again when the petition is about to be approved.

Also, two month NOA2 is rare unless your petition is expedited. In order to be expedited, your fiance's country has to be in crisis (meaning war, natural disasters, something big/serious).

It seems realistical processing time between NOA1 and NOA2 is about 6 months according to what I saw and read over the months. And then your fiance' still has to interview, and your packet gets send to NVC (National Visa Center) for approval, which will take another month or two.

I suggest patiences if you are an average Joe like me, because if you are, your wait is not even half way there yet.

Good luck!

Wow, congrats. But just in case things run over five months, I would have my fiance arrange a visit. He can always cancel if your paper work goes thru, but I would cover all basis rather than panicking later.

Btw, if you're unsure about the alien number adjustment or want to be notified when you case status changes, you can sign up at USCIS site and get automatic updates. All you need is your receipt number USCIS has provided with NOA1.

Good luck and congrats :)

Congrats on your pregnancy! A less than 2 month NOA2 is highly likely if you're routed to CSC. However, if you're routed to TSC, expect 4.5-6 months. Your Timeline is not updated, so I don't know which SC you were routed to.

Yeah! That person, I'm not taking it as a good sign for us though, Since they have most of Jan/Feb to do before ours, So I'm following their thread to see how fast they can get through them :) Hitting 3 Months in a week and few days, Then 2 More Months till the 5 Month mark, Even though we most probably won't hear anything, But still, It won't take that long after the 5 Month mark :)

Agreed. Our NOA1 is only 13 days apart. I just told my fiancee yesterday that based on the recent approvals I've seen, I anticipate our NOA2 could occur somewhere from the end of July to early September. That's not really that far away & besides, I'll be in Germany visiting her from July 11-21. It's possible NOA2 could occur just after I leave. At least I'll get to be there for her birthday.
