Its expensive. My fiancee asked the same if I would be able to visit her (she works part time barely makes enough to pay schooldebt). I am simply not able, if I did visit it meant I would not be able to fly to her once approved.

For some people these things are so calculated that there is no room for extra spendings just to comply with the timeframes. Don't forget you have to pay a $1070 for your status adjustment, which isn't cheap either. So me as a student, who has a decent saving because my government pays for schooling, and I saved up my money from my grad internship, its all I have to make this whole thing happen from flight to marriage to adjustment. That way she can keep paying her bills.

So we rather not spend a year together then having financial issues down the line that could ruin the relationship.

Yayy! Congrats!!! Wedding soon! :D

Thank you so much Lilay!! :) I remember we have the same timeline so yours will be coming soon!! YES, wedding soon so need to go on a strict diet from now on. LOL

Congratulations!! Wujuu some movement in March filers.

Thank you naloy137!! Yes, I see there's been quite a few approvals this week so that means they are working hard to approve our petitions! Yours is on the way soon! :)

Heyyyy Congrat! I'm still waiting and discourage

Thanks Vickyandmacky! Please do not be discouraged. I perfectly understand that feeling but it's true that it will come when you least expect it!! The USCIS email came in between the email notifications from visa journey. I didn't bother to check my phone because I was in the middle of doing my pedicure too. hahaha!! Imagine my surprise when I checked after 5 minutes and I saw USCIS in my phone!! Can't describe the feeling and you will feel that too, soon!! :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Once NVC sends it off, I found a forum on VJ that tracks the packages to the Embassies. Let me know if you'd like to follow it. It's not 100% accurate, but it's something, right? :D Sending prayers and support!!! Yay!!!!

Would you like help with your Timeline, or something else? Congrats on starting your visa journey!! :)

Tee and Megan, please share that tracker! I want that, hahaha! I haven't done anything and I don't know if I should be doing something at this point? I am just waiting for the hardcopy of the NOA2 and maybe we'll go from there? Any tips will be much appreciated. :) Thank you!!

We got a text message and email at 9am today saying that we got approved. The dreaded wait for NOA2 is over. I have been so annoyed these past few weeks but all the wait was worth it. I still can't believe that we got it. Guys I'm telling you, the feeling is so good that you want to jump so high or scream as loud as you could imagine. So just hang in there and you are all included in my prayers. God bless everyone

Congratulations MK214!! I am so so happy for us!! Remember when we were just starting and sending private messages for our questions on what docs to file?! LOL we are so over that stage and got approved without an RFE!! Today is really a happy day!! Can't believe the wait for NOA2 is over. Good luck on the rest of our visa journey!! :)

Yeah, the Service Center modus operandi is confusing. Look at the April/May 2014 filers thread. California Service Center applicants are getting NOA2 approved in like 14 days to 48 days. I, myself, got approved in 14 days. Hopefully, Texas transfers some cases to California or if you are indeed transfered you should expect an approval soon.

Heyyy!! I checked your timeline and it was actually approved in 7 days, not 14 days!! They count it from NOA1. Yours is really fast! Congratulations!!!

Just want to add that my visa journey's estimated approval is true for my case.. it says that I may get approval from 5 May to 16 May and I got approved on 12 May!! I was consciously waiting since last week and thank God it did happen!! :) It really helps if every member updates their timelines accurately. :)

hi everyone !

we filled the I129f, was sent byTexas uscis on May the 1st. My fiancé in the US, in Phoenix , recieved the NOA1 on May the 10th but it was sent from Los Angeles !

is that normal?

i can see on the timeline here that people who apply to CA have already their NOA2, in less than a month whereas others form TX haven't yet after months ! is that normal?

i wonder a lot and time gets rough as being far, with time different and the " we don't know if we will be together one day" is upon our heads !! i feel depressed today and all testimonies are welcome

good luck to every one in. the process

Is your file send to California? Or did it stay in Texas?

Also this is March and not May. On top of that could you fill in your timeline so that you and others can keep track of your progress in the whole transition.

Welllllllll....not really. You folks with your quick approvals at CSC are in a cigar boat with dual turbo charged jet engines, while those of us at TSC are in a old junker with holes in the sails and heading in to the wind :D Ok, back to biting my tongue...

YUP. We're not even in the same race, our boat is just trying to stay afloat.

I'm happy for the people at CSC, and definitely envious! It's just hard to see so many people speeding by while we're just bobbing around.

I try to be stronge but everyday i feel bad thinking i just cant wait ( i have to but i cant) ..

I send you all the positive vibes to you and ur fiance and i hope soon u guys have a good news..
