Which Criminal Record Check did you need - Canadian seeking CR1

I'm headed down the RCMP office to get my criminal record check to include in my CR1 Visa application (finally, woo hoo!) and I'm unsure which type of criminal record check I need to complete for the package. Do I just need a regular criminal record check, or do I need fingerprinting?

It seems to me that I just need the regular check...but I'm nervous because I the RCMP website says that fingerprints are often needed for immigration purposes...

Exactly - if you have a clean record, just ask them for a country wide CPIC with your name (and any aliases). If it comes back with any criminal record, that is when you would have to do finger prints.

When my husband went to get his done, he just said it was for US immigration and they exactly what what form to use and what he needed.
