Hi guys! I find this forum very live and insightful! and I really need your help on my case!

So, I am an LPR for 3 years now (continuous residence only 1 year). I met my girlfriend in Kyrgyzstan 2 years ago, and we've been dating since then. I have returned to US permanently in January 2014, and I want her to join me here. She is in process of applying for J-1 (Work&Travel) visa, and, hopefully, will arrive in June 2014.

I know of two (three) options for her to become an LPR as of now:

1. When she arrives, she will apply to a college here and switch to F-1 (so that she stays on legal basis in US). We will marry 60-90 days after her arrival, and file I-130 immediately. Current cutoff date is 08SEP2013.

2. Same as above, but I will also apply and enlist in Active Duty Armed Forces, and apply for N-400 after Boot Camp (3-4 months). My I-130 will be expedited once I become a citizen.

(3.) Same as 1, but I apply for the Reserves of Armed Forces. I will be eligible to apply for N-400 after one year of Reserve service. My I-130 will be then expedited.

Hence, I would like to get some feedback from you, guys and girls.

Currently, I am following option 1. But, I am afraid that PD will not move forward for a long time.

Which option would you choose?

Thanks!
