I don't have much to say about this, just thought it was fascinating and wanted to share...from The Washington Post (article)

This looks like BS to me.

The article does discuss some of the inherent problems with the data. Honesty was one. It may very well be BS. However, after living in the Middle East for several years, I will say racial issues and tolerance were..very interesting there.

Washington post should have been your first clue.

Except that the article in the Washington Post that's linked does address the possible faults in the data that made me think it was BS.

You'd know that if you'd read it.

It takes a bigger person to admit when they're wrong. Just some advice for you.

It be an easier world if everything political could be settled by saying you're wrong, I'm right. In fact, you should know by now there is little we will ever agree on. my thoughts to you is that you should remember that you are a liberal and you don't like conservative points of view regardless of what they are. I would even venture to say that you cannot articulate the differences between your beloved dems, and a conservative without resorting to drive-by one-liners. Truthfully, writing here is nothing more than entertainment for me and you.

It's very rare that someone on this forum so freely admit that they are commenting on something they did not even attempt to read or understand.

Very refreshing! Sheds a lot of light on your responses. :)

I would have thought a conservative anti-Obama individual would have heartily embraced this map to add fodder to the - "see, racism hardly exists in the USA!' folder.... ,

Once again the comment section is more entertaining than the article itself.

Wait...

Australia is one of the least racist? BWAHAHAHAHAHA, These studies are always extremely flawed. I came to this country after looking at studies like this hoping for a liberal, tolerant country, but what I actually experienced is completely different. The majority of white people here are extremely racist. I'm Sri Lankan btw,

I know there will be a lot of Aussies who'll say otherwise, but most of these people tend to be white and haven't experienced being in our shoes. I've spoken to so many other people who've felt the racism here.

Australia is a prime example of how economic development doesn't equal racial tolerance, or tolerance of any sort.

What can you expect from a country that's home to the world's only successful genocide (Tasmanian Aborigines)?

Getting the hell out of here and into the US ASAP.

If you hate Australia so much, then good. Leave. People probably hate you for your whiny, whinging, entitled attitude—not your race.
Also, why did you leave Sri Lanka? Oh, because of ethnic warfare? You can just be quiet now.

You're joking right? I've agreed with a conservative when they've been right. Myself and Postmaster have had such conversations and when's he's on point, I've told him. And when I'm wrong about anything, I've admitted it, in the open. Seems like you're having difficulties doing the same thing in that other thread. You know, the one where you ask for links, then can't be bothered to read them. Then you dismiss any discussions pertaining to such links, yet want another member to have a discussion with you.

The metric measures the number of people who answered that they would not like someone of another race as a neighbor. I think it's almost pointless to have a poll on something as encompassing as racial tolerance and then use a single criteria like that to gauge it.

I also believe there is an inherent bias in these polls. Many people lie. Even to themselves. Especially in countries where the social stigma of appearing intolerant is higher.
