My fiance told me she just got her passport back from the embassy. She had her interview on Feb. 24, so it took 10 days to get her passport back. The embassy said it could take up to 2 weeks for her passport to arrive, so their estimate seems accurate. I hope this info helps.

Just to add our experience as far as Visa/Passport delivery, albiet a different Visa type (I-R1). They told us it would take 1-2 weeks as well for delivery. Our interview was on Feb 25, 2014 and my wife's visa arrived 9 days later on Feb 06, 2014. As far as the interview process it is similar to the K-1 interview process but I am sure slightly different questions beign asked. Did you buy an one-way or round-trip ticket for your fiance? I am trying to figure out if a round-trip ticket is cheaper.

Did you buy an one-way or round-trip ticket for your fiance? I am trying to figure out if a round-trip ticket is cheaper.

I ended up buying a 1 way ticket, but when I looked 6 weeks ago it was cheaper to buy 2 round trip tickets. Then when I looked at the same flight 5 weeks ago the price increased by 300 per ticket. I dont have an answer for you, because I have seen it go either way and I cant figure it out?? I hate buying plane ticketsmad.gif

I ended up buying one way ticket because it is cheaper in the sense that we will not use the return ticket.

It is weird that the price is cheaper than 400 dollars if I buy from Vietnam agency in HCM compared to online with the same flight.

Thanks, guys.

I know in the US, the Vietnamese travel agents always have the cheapest prices. Not sure about the ones in VN.

Most awesome. My wife just arrived in Vietnam. One of the first things she told me is it is hot.

So it has been a week since your wife arrived... how has she adapted to the US? Was it everything she expected? WHat does she dislike the most/ like the most about the US? If you don’t mind sharing, do you live in an apartment or house? What does your wife plan on doing in the US (housewife, work, school, all/none of the above)?

Again, congratulations.

Apologize. My wife has been in the states for 5 years and just went back to Vietnam for a few weeks. I was letting another member who was going there that she said it was very hot there. In fact she tells me every time we chat how hot it is there compared to here.

Well you've already lived here for 5 years surely u can offer some perspective based on your experience 5 years ago? original questions:"how has she adapted to the US? Was it everything she expected? WHat does she dislike the most/ like the most about the US? If you don’t mind sharing, do you live in an apartment or house? I would suggest to do a search and find my past posts. I have been here a long time and already shared all that.
