Hi All,

Recently I requested for an address change by calling the USCIS.I recieved a letter from them saying that they have updated my address hoewver it also says that their records indicate that they are awaiting response to their request for asddtional evidence mailed on october 11 ,2006. and that the case is on hold or suspended .(I gave my biometrics at the Vermont application centre on 24 August 2006.) But when I called in today they say they havent mailed any such request for additional evidence .Could anyone suggest what should be done in this regard

Thanks

Aparna

If I were in your position, I would definitely go to my local office to inquire about my case (Infopass).

Go to:

https://infopass.uscis.gov/infopass.php?PHP...cbbe65014fea42a

Enter the Zip code where you live and make an appointment. You will get a date and the you go to the local office on that date and inquire about your case.

Have you moved since you started your case?

You are at a sort of delicate junction.. I really think you should be following up in person at your local office. Make sure they have the correct address and see if you can find out what the information is that they need.

This is not a usual way a case should go.

I think a new appointment is a very good, very urgent idea. filing the required 'address change' AR-11 does NOT change your mailing address, and I suspect that your mail has been going to an old address.

There are several steps involved in changing address (I know, it's dumb). I think you will have better results doing that in person, at this point.

I called Customer Service because of a late NOA. Was told if you move while a case is pending, you should call customer service too, to confirm the address change, in addition to sending the form in the mail. I had not moved while case is pending - still the NOA took a month to be mailed. So it might not matter anyways!!

Good Luck!
