Congrats to everyone who has received their GC! It's encouraging to see people getting Interview Waiver letters recently. My AOS is still on Initial Review and I filed on 24th of March, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a letter in the next couple of weeks.

Hey, guys! I just got the interview yesterday. It went very well since I came with K-1 visa. The interview appointment was at 1.35. We got there at 1.30 and waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes. The interviewer didn't ask much. She asked mostly from the form. For documents, she only wanted to see my husband's and my passports which I have 4. Then she asked us if we had any documents we wanted to submit. So I only gave her pictures on the marriage day and health and dental insurance. In the same day evening, we got the notification that the green card is in production and I'm gonna get the welcome notice soon.

Hooray!! Good luck you guys who are still waiting :dancing:

Its still in the Acceptance stage. i received the EAD and currently working.Just worried that they may have sent an RFE without the notification arriving at my residence via airmail.

Why do you think i may qualify for a waiver??

What is your status on I-485? Is it Initial Review or Testing and Interview?

If your status is still at Acceptance or Initial Review, then you might get potential interview waiver.

If your status is at Testing and Interview, then you just wait for your local office to schedule an appointment.

I assumed you came to US under K-1 visa which mean you will have 50/50 chance of getting interview waiver. As far as I see from VJ's members, you might get interview waiver if your case is still acceptance for more than 2 months after biometric. It is not 100% sure but that applies for many cases I have seen.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

Congrats, Lillyryu. These are the types of stories that made me feel like my husband and I were a shoo-in and pretty much why I lost my sh** that we didn't get our GC at our interview. My husband and I have decided to wait until after our big wedding party next Saturday to submit the RFE responses because we just don't even want to deal with it. I'll let you all know it how goes. I'm pretty much apathetic about it all now. *sigh*

Thank you, sweet cakes! I haven't received anything today. But I'm pretty sure it's coming. I'm really relieved after the interview yesterday. Can't wait to get the card and go back to the SSA to change my name again. I tried to change the name last time and it's been a month. I haven't got the new SSN card yet. SIGH!! I hate government. :clock:

Thanks, Dragonmermaid. I think you should focus on your wedding and have fun with it for now. After the wedding I'm sure you'll have plenty of evidences to show them :)
