Just got a notification from USCIS today that my wife's green card has gone into production! So glad to have finally made it to the "end" (at least until ROC 2 years from now). Couldn't have done it without Visa Journey and all the helpful people on this forum. Thanks!!

I think i was the only 1 on this forum with 2 interviews.

It was really intense!!! (FEB FILERS)

The 1st interview we did together and lasted for 30 min

The 2nd interview i did alone for 2 hrs and wife did for 5 min.

I had to flip situations around because the interviewer was very well experience and know how to do her job very well.

At beginning she said, "I know you got married for the 'Greencard'. I just, 'Laugheddd loudly, and said, here we go, USCIS at its best'... loll - Guess what, she started laughing too.

Same situation all the way, i never got angry even for a second.

I always complemented her job.

In fact, I even said "you should get a mac, they are much faster, tell the govt"... She had strawberrys next to her "I asked her to have some and not beat me down".. etc

These guys are looking at the confidence levels! - The MORAL OF THE STORY is THE TRUTH!!! - You can only be confident when you are true.

But my truth was a little sketchy, but the truth

For my first interview I only had a Bank account and she also asked if we had sex and we said NO because of religious reasons.

We also dont stay together yet..

In the 2nd interview, she asked again if we had sex, i said no due to religious reasons.

Additional documents I had:

Lease: She said doesnt matter, she said, 'I can put anyone in the lease, it doesnt matter anymore today'

Phone bill: She said doesnt matter, she said, 'I can put anyone in the lease, it doesnt matter anymore today'

Health insurance: Pretty good proof

I added my wife to my credit card: Good proof

I printed out both our credit scores: Showed commingle of finance, good proof

I had 8 affidavits: from parents, friends, and cousins (Best proof of all)

I bought some stuff from amazon delivered to her house, good proof apprently

I had many photos of the engagement, court marriage, and other randoms days. Remember photos of you and her dont matter. The important photos are the ones that are of you, her, and everyone else.

Important point: Our case was very unique and rare. Majority, and probably yours too is just normal.

So dont worry about it

SPEAK THE TRUTH AND DO NOTTTTT GET ANGRY!!!!

They will try to BOG you down. I have been BOGGED down enough in my life to handle this.. lol

I also got an affidavit from the Judge who got us married.

I also gave her our text message log (1725 pages cut down to 25 pages), very risky. She read every page, if there is something she misunderstands - she will question you.

I also book a vacation that we going in Aug, printed out receipt and showed her.

Thanks for sharing! I'm sure it's not an easy job for to prove that you guys are not in a bonafide marriage, and good thing that you are in the appropriate disposition to respond positively to her questions / comments.

Cheers and hope you guys receive her GC soon! :dancing:

OMG guys, I can't believe it. Just as I have stopped checking the uscis.gov site everyday, I received an email today that my GC is now in production. It was still in "Acceptance" last night when I checked it before I slept, so I just find it too surreal to read this now:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: MSCxxxxxxxxxx

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On June 26, 2014, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I didn't receive any date for interview and no notice of potential waiver case either... So deep inside I was really panicking. But today is just too unreal. I still find it hard to believe. I'm actually teary-eyed right now.

Thanks for the support, guys! Hope everyone who are still waiting will hear their good news soon too. Cheers! :)

intelligent,

My husband just got issued his MD DL yesterday too using his EAD! Of course that was after 4 days spent at the MVA over the past week and half including a 10 hour day yesterday. It was a difficult task to say the least! We had major issues exchanging his out of country license to a MD one and for some reason they issued him a type 2 learners permit (LP) prior last week. He should have never been issued a LP so I think that we may have paid more than we should have. My question is, how long is your license valid for and how much did you pay for it?

My experience at the MVA was not great. I had to demand to get it done, I won't bore you with the story. As I used the EAD in conjunction with my Nigerian license, they issued me a full license and I paid $10.

The story sounds very straightforward but it was certainly not that easy to get my MD DL.

I'm wondering why they would have issued your husband a LP though, that's ridiculous. What I would say is, if that allows him to drive and carry on about his business I guess that's fine but if otherwise go back and ask to speak to someone! Being timid won't for those MVA folks, I'm sorry it won't!

OMG guys, I can't believe it. Just as I have stopped checking the uscis.gov site everyday, I received an email today that my GC is now in production. It was still in "Acceptance" last night when I checked it before I slept, so I just find it too surreal to read this now:
