finally got an interview date!

These forums have been very helpful to me. This is my first post on any immigration forum which I was finally compelled to do since my anxiety is increasing as it is past 30 days since my biometric appointment and I am yet to hear anything from USCIS. It just seems like the Texas office (TSC) takes way longer than other places such as California.

Congrats yTess and thanks for sharing your timeline as it is good news (hopes) for me as well. It looks like your filing date was 3 days ahead of mine and your local office is also Houston TX. I'm still waiting on the interview date after successful Biometrics completion. Since you received your interview date today, I'm hoping that I would hear something by this week at least. Was your adjustment of status as "spouse of US citizen" as well? Did you also apply for EAD (work authorization) or AP (Advance Parole)? Also, did you apply through an attorney? I wonder if that makes the process faster.

My timeline is as follows:

January 21st, 2014: Married US Citizen

March 15th, 2014: Mailed joint application of I130 & AOS, EAD & AP mailed to the Chicago office

March 17th, 2014: Application reached

March 23rd, 2014: Text and Email Receipt Confirmation

March 28th, 2014: Arrival of Receipt (I-797C) by mail

March 29th, 2014: Arrival of Biometric appointment notice by mail for April 15th

April 15th, 2014: Biometric Completed Successfully

April 24th, 2014: USCIS Case Status Updated to "Testing and Interview".............till today (May 19th, 2014) and don't know for how much longer :( .........

Thanks,

MMM <3

Thanks Super King! Do you know if the work authorization cards will arrive with the interview notice?

EAD and AP are processed separately from I-485. So interview notice and Combo card of EAD and AP has nothing to do with each other. You can expect EAD and AP status into Card Production approximately 66-69 days from the date of their acceptance. Hope this helps.

Same thing happened to me. Had my I485 status as RFE under review since May 2nd till May 16th and at the same time my EAD and AP under initial review. But then on May 16th both EAD and AP were approved. So just be a little patient, according to the current statistics for those like us with a RFE under review it takes 2 weeks to have the EAD approved from the date they receive the information related to the RFE.
