On Monday I called and requested an expedite due to the current situation in Ukraine, where my fiance is. I called the service center and spoke to a Tier-1 agent.(First mistake) I requested the expedite and asked if I should speak with Tier-2 and they said no, they would be able to submit for me. So, I gave all the info and criteria to this particular agent. He asked if I wanted to say anything regarding the 3 criteria and when I tried to go into detail for each, he stated he couldn't add detail, only highlight.(Second mistake) So, gave high level and submitted. Was told someone would contact me within 5-15 business days for additional information.(Third mistake - 3 strikes and you are out)

Today I received response back regarding the expedite, and guess what?, Yes, it was denied. The email sent was short and to the point, but very vague in details. So, I contacted the service center and this time spoke to a Tier-2 agent. She was very accommodating and empathetic. We discussed what I did on Monday and what I was told. She immediately understood and stated that detail should have been given when I opened the request. List the criteria and then provide detail as to why this applies. She advised I could submit another expedite, but would need to wait 5-business days from original submission. She also explained that based on the information entered is how a decision is made. So, detail has to be there. If, however, the decision maker needs more information, they have 5-15-business days to contact you for the additional information to make a properly informed decision.

Can't wait for Tuesday to arrive! Calling back and re-submitting. Hopefully, my folly will benefit someone else.

I read on the news about situation there. I hope your fiance(e) is safe and your request expedite is granted. Good luck!

There really is no crisis going on presently in Ukraine.....until the next revolution begins.....as Putin is pushing for.

I don't know which news outlet you watch, but what has been happening in Ukraine is definitely not a walk in the park. Powder keg it still is. No unrest, violent, now, but no one can predict the future. The situation warrants action on my part. That is why I am doing all I can, even flying over, to make sure they are safe and provided for.

I'm glad your case was expedited but I think your flag is wrong. Nigeria and Ukraine is a world apart smile.png

I hope UCSIS would be able to do something for your case. My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine.
