I think that sums it up pretty well. People with no ambition or drive really irk me. I find it so difficult to kisten to people complain about their situation when they have done absolutely nothing to try to change it themselves. Major pet peeve.

Sometimes it's hard to change it yourself - and the act of changing it requires doing something drastic. Sometimes it's easier to just whine about it, but the real solution is to stand up, and start taking names.

Steve - is it because you have shares in that industry?

Steve - is it because you have shares in that industry?

That's good thinking....but no....

Lets see if any of you guys take an interest to this....

What are you wearing right now, that doesn't contain latex?

What is in your house, that doesn't have latex in it?

What's in a car, that doesn't have latex in it?

Therefore. By the simple theory of supply and demand. Latex prices (among other commodities) is a clear indicator of the future PMIs (Purchasing Managers indices).

China, is the largest importer of latex. When their stockpiles run high, thats a clear indicator that their trucks are not using up parts (tires), manufacturing is down. They're not making tires, cars, paints, clothing, 1,000,000 other things.

Copper is down, that's another indicator of things to come.

Figuring how to prosper from this foresight, that's another story. (inverse ETFs)

That's why I'm always up at night sitting at the computer....Reading/ Strategizing/ scheming....

Its not what i do for a living, but it's what I love to do..........

I think Niki and toothy are goin outta their minds with taxes lol

(which means that they are productive, of course)

But really, you guys made it harder then it had to be....

Look at Greece....no one ever files over there. And their "IRS" whatever its called, they don't have the resources to go collect smile.png

Talked to Hubby about seeing a CPA. He said no way, I have to go figure it out myself since I created the mess.

So what info you need to better access how to fill up 8938, part III Summary of Tax Items Attributable to Specified Foreign Financial Assets?

I have 0 foreign income, only foreign banks saving accounts and insurance policies with cash back value.

I dont but in Europe you gotta have PhD to teach. Usually, while you are working on PhD you do assistant Prof. jobs to get ready to teach or get a post-doc..w/e that is why i always thought I would need one.

get yer @ss to NYC. work on yer phD. Drop yer email accounts, telephone numbers, get new ones after arrival, and never, ever share them with anyone that signed the I-864.

Toothy did you do a search on like TurboTax info exchange?

It should be not that hard to figure out...

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1184588-on-form-8938-part-iii-summary-of-tax-items-how-do-we-know-form-or-schedule-and-line-where-reported

OK I gotta go lay down....Toothy, lemme get in the office tomorrow. I'll find out more about this thingy for you ....

Thanks for your link! It did not come up in my searches. I did not think of searching for Turbo Tax since I'm using HR Block.

For Insurance policies, I probably should only list those with cash surrender values, fill in 'no interest' for Part III 2 Other Foreign Assets but still fill in Part IV Detailed Information for Each "Other Foreign Asset" Included in the Part II Summary? huh2.gif

Or Should I classify Insurance policies as 1 Foreign Deposit and Custodial Accounts?

Yeah, I often wonder why we say 'good morning', if we still don't know how good it is or will be.

Maybe it's just to wish others to have a 'good morning'? tongue.png

(Many [16] pages to read, egad man...)

As a confirmed Night Owl, I state unequivocally that "good" and "morning" together are like "military intelligence" or "jumbo shrimp" -- a complete contradiction. Days should begin no earlier than noon, si and no man.

I wish my middle finger did not hurt else I would use it to tell them how i feel.

This deserves enshrinement in the pantheon of all-time VJ posts, si man.

1. 1- This marks the 5,937th time Tark has said this...WE KNOW WE KNOW!!

2. Oh so you're just sum-dum-gai...... biggrin.png

1. Immortal quotes bear repeating, si man. Immortal quotes bear repeating, si man.

Next time try a Quaalude smile.png

You're showing your age, si man.
