We could have but that requires keeping at the surface. Crawling through the roots of the many mangrove trees prevents reaching the surface for air. Its almost like cave diving at times. The interesting part was getting separated from your buddy, you just stand up and look for his bubbles

- I would not pass on an opportunity to work for NYU it is a dream come true for me and what they said at the interview is what I want to do. should they make me an offer I will not think too much about it. If they do not i know i can get a job eventually doing what i love.

- he is now hoping I will get something at OSU maybe I will who knows.

- hey, I treated him to a 60 dollar dinner (just for him) out in NYC thinking it might sway him but no dice

That's the spirit. It's the same with me (bar the negative spouse you're lugging around, I don't have that issue) - I hated working in supermarkets and bars when I was in England. They always treated me like the lowest common denominator. Now I've found a route to doing what I really love - teaching/working with kids - I'm going to go full throttle to take the chance and go for it.
