...i don't separate colours and whites. but in my defense, i've never had a problem with staining!

My mom used to stain my light color clothes with all the blue jeans coloring, making me so angry sleep.png

She moved out of the regular high school into an alternative program. She was supposed to be working a job part of the day, then go to independent study at their location the rest of the day. When she was nearing age 20, and still not working or showing up for her independent studies, they said she had to start showing up or she'd be kicked out of the program. They pushed her to finally take and pass her GED.

She is 25, lives in the basement of her mother's house with her bf. She isn't working, except for a few months a year at a halloween costume store. Her and her bf want to move out now, but he wants her to get a job first, and she keeps saying she can't because its too far to get anywhere to work, but she'll get one after they move closer to where jobs are. Its the typical circular argument. She can't work, because she doesn't have a car or license, but she can't get a license because she doesn't have a car, and she can't get a car because she doesn't have a job, so they can't move because she doesn't job, so she can't get a job because they haven't moved to where she can easily work. Its like the thread that go closed down rofl.gif I refrain from making any comments about the situation. That would just make me the mean dad again that I was when I argued with her mother that she was spoiling her.

head spinning. I hope she gets her act together. sigh....

not everything i own is black. some of it is brown. or navy. lol.

so...jonas and i really like this apartment complex he went to look at yesterday. it's a 2 bedroom, and in our price range (we increased our upper limit after he got the new job and i added some of my stash). the only thing holding us (ok, me) back is that there are some reviews that say car break-ins are common and parking is really hard to find. there are...about 10 reviews over the last 4 years. should this be a deal-breaker?

None of that matters. . Anyone that studies and graduates from Uncle Darnell's School of Zen Clothes Washing can wash my clothes. Otherwise? It's all me, on me, done by me.

Her Stuff? I not care so much, as I wash em per my methods. She screwed up, washed it by her methods. I really needed a 'This ain't China, so it won't work' example for her - and this was one of four. wink.png

Yep, my wife learned a couple things that way. Partly I blame myself as I didn't explain some things. Like metal in a microwave! But its impossible to think of every little thing that is different and new to them.

We're making the switch to brown rice now. We eat too much rice to be eating white rice all the time.

Yes it should be. I lived in an area that had that issue. As soon as my lease was over, I was out of there. Spending 30 minutes every time you return home searching for a parking spot will effectively imprison you in your home. Worrying about lost belongings in your vehicle, and replacing broken windows if you don't is just too stressful to.

The pros are that there are stores (walgreens, safeway, starbucks) 5 minutes walk away. Well, I have tasked Jonas with inspecting the ground in the visitor parking lots for broken glass when he goes over again today. The MILF apartments we have found so far are really far away from civilization!
