Okay why oh why, do people post in other people's regional forums? I don't post in the mexico forum or the philippines forum or the MENA forum? Why do people post in the Canada forum? Pay attention to WHERE you're posting.

Fordi the Scandinavian thread is dead I tell you, dead! Scandinavians around here are like unicorns.

I think they are just hitting 'new' and not checking, it happens.

Wife and I went to our favorite Olive Oil seller. Meant only to pick up a bottle of ubber high quality, freshly crushed olive oil. Walked out with multiple bottles of flavored oils and balsamic vinegar. There went hundred bucks in a hurry.

Cary you rich. 100 on oil? huh.png

I always buy some of the most expensive balsamic vinegar I can find. It's so awesome. Hubs hates it though (silly man) and so it lasts a while. Apparently he's not keen on italian seasoning. But the man will eat "mexican" food to death. I love italian... such is life. Guess if he's hungry he'll eat what I make or make his own food. :D

I'm a bit of a foodie. I enjoy experimenting with different things. And it wasn't just oil, it was also balsamic vinegars.

The health benefits of the oil we're using are pretty darn high to. You will not get these quality and health benefits in oil from the grocery store. Given how much oil my wife uses in cooking, its much better to be using oils that improve your health, rather than oils that degrade it. Plus the flavors, my lord but there's some good stuff to be had if you're willing to pay about double the grocery store price.

And you bought every bottle for only a hunnit bucks?

Hey is it me? Or do all malls have an unpleasant smell to it?

Use coconut oil. It's very good for you smile.png

So some people claim, although I haven't seen much in the way of proof in testing for it. Plus there's no standards on it yet either. So you don't really know what you're getting.

Stretch can we thread ban vegans?

but then who would eat all the yukky veggies for me.

Told the rental company the car broke down rofl.gif That wasn't my actual rental car, I searched out the picture, but my rental was covered like that and I refused to use it again. I took a cab back to the airport.

Ya no way would I get near the car either

All the windows of the hotel were similarly covered. Except at the entry area, where I assumed they were working hard to keep spider and web free. I just kept thinking horror movie when ever I glanced towards an uncovered window. As it was, I spent almost the entire time inside the hotel, and didn't need to see the outside of the building much.

OMG

It's freaking me out tongue.png

I scrolled by that post fast I didn't what to see it.

I was kidding. Coconut is the worst oil for you.

Canola is best for cooking. And olive for lower temp cooking I think

There are people claiming all types of great benefits for coconut oil now.

Extra light olive oil has a high smoke point. So it totally depends on the the type of olive oil, and the type of canola oil. Extra virgin isn't really that far off either canola, but has the lowest smoke point of the olive oils. For cheap oil (deep frying) we use canola, simply because it takes so much of it.

Where the heck do they post for Papua New Guinea? Someone marrying an actual headhunter?

I wish you could buy every bottle for $100. The smallest, cheapest bottle is like $16. I think thats like 200 or 250ML? Largest bottle (750ML) is $28.

Never noticed an odd smell in the malls, because I'm usually regularly getting assaulted by some woman's nasty cheap perfume too often.

I prefer olive oil for cooking and canola for baking.

Olive oil would taste weird when baking!

Like Cary said, the olive oil from the supermarket is not that great, so I just use canola oil.
