Ok, I tried to get that stupid flight with the 35 minute layover changed by pleading that it was not possible in Mpls to make it from a large aircraft to a commuter plane in under 35 minutes (or what really is like 10 minutes because the close the gate 10 minutes before departure and you need to de-plane). Grumble, grumble, grumble. Plus, the flight from Hartford has been over an hours late several times in the past few weeks. ranting33va.gifranting33va.gif

They won't do anything until after we miss the connecting flight and a car rental for just that day to drive the 5 hours is like $500!

Those bastos!

Depends on where your flight is coming in. Iffen you're lucky, you can do it. Odds are you won't be that lucky though and they'll be complete opposite sides of the airport.

Which airline is being bastos?

But if the airlines let you book that flight, it might be possible.

I took a flight from Wroclaw to Seattle via Munich. I had 40 minute laover in Munich. Had no problems with making it on time :)

There are no flights from JFK la guardia or Newark to Minneapolis ?

Then you drive from Minneapolis to bum fvcked nowhere?

Where's the layover? In Chicago?

Answer to earlier trivia.

A coolie is a shanghaied Chinese laborer to the railroads....

I'ma thought a coolie was a slave. She ain't trying to fly into minneapolis, she's trying to make a connection there.

I could not tell you who was in the picture, I guessed from the other replies.

Told the rental company the car broke down rofl.gif That wasn't my actual rental car, I searched out the picture, but my rental was covered like that and I refused to use it again. I took a cab back to the airport.

Wonder what they thought when they saw your car to pick it up :P

All the windows of the hotel were similarly covered. Except at the entry area, where I assumed they were working hard to keep spider and web free. I just kept thinking horror movie when ever I glanced towards an uncovered window. As it was, I spent almost the entire time inside the hotel, and didn't need to see the outside of the building much.

Yeah, I read up on what some of the frequent fliers said on other forums and some of them were saying, if they are close and the first flight is on time, then great.

Of the last 6 days they had flights on the same day, only 4 made it in a good transfer time. I paid extra to sit in the front of the plane, but if it is late coming out of Hartford, well, there is nothing we can do.

It is Delta, depending on the day they run about 4 flights to Grand Forks. We might make the next one if they still have tickets, which they seem to have 3-5 right now, but I don't want to pay the 600 change fee when sometimes the flight from Hartford is too late to even make the next flight!

Other option is one of us flying if they have only 1 or 2 seats and the other taking the Empire Builder or begging Alamo to change the origin on the rental car to Minneapolis. We'll have to see.

Serves me right for not looking closer though!

This smacks of us leaving Denmark and having to make a mad drive to Copenhagen because the plane from Aarhus didn't have proper radar to fly if it wasn't a clear day (an odd choice in a foggy country).
