He can't because he's not married yet and definitely not a LPR yet.

Exactly what I was about to say. Can't do a thing until married, at that point I can be added to the medical and car insurance.

He goes to the ER with no ID and no SS to get free care like any other indigent.

Exactly what I was about to say. Can't do a thing until married, at that point I can be added to the medical and car insurance.

ER can not reject you. You go there, give fake name, tell them no ss card, get your free care. Hospitals are reimbursed by the fed for taking care of those who have no way to pay.
