hmph

The interest rates are low right now. If you take out a small mortgage, the ROI ( return on investment) may exceed the interest that you will pay over the next few years.

You own home free and clear, that's more shopping power for a first mortgage. If you have good credit, you are a "prime borrower" gets you lower than prime rates.

The tax on capital gains obtained from your ROI is lower than the 25% tax bracket that you're in.

The tax deduction from interest paid and upgrades will contribute to your earnings.

And...there's so much more.

1- I will tell you more when I have time later

2- you need to start a relationship with an accountant. Not a tax filer! An accountant!

zomg I'm done.

OMG OMG OMG

Wack, if you overpaid, then apply it to 2014, and 2014s overpayment to 2015 etc....
And look for "notice of tax overpayment" in the mail from your state sometime during the year. Keep that for next season.

whoops

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

I want to speak to a financial adviser sometime this year. Ali and I have talked about it and decided it would be beneficial. Next year, I will pay someone to do this for me.

Quick, mix some DayQuil with red bull and coffee and suck it down!

Or drink a coke.

Aiyoh, poor thing. You should have taken MC and rest at home.

You know, many US companies do not have MC days, so if you are sick you have to take your personal day off sad.png

Hence, many people will still should show up in office sick instead of taking day off.

Enjoy the Singapore MC while they last biggrin.png

i wish i could! i've been clearing my PTO though so i've already got every monday off from now till i leave. don't wanna throw my coworkers under the bus by taking additional days off as well.

and yes i am going to miss my 14 days paid sick time off, 18 days personal time off, 2 days parent care leave, 0.5 days birthday leave...

What's a MC?

medical certificate...piece of paper the doctor gives you to certify you are germy and need to rest at home.
