I'm female. That's what happened. For at least a day and sometimes up to 3 days, I double over and cry. I seriously debate taking bc again because it wasn't that bad on it. If I had a doctor here I'd ask a few questions but I don't. I will need a physcial in the next 2-3 months and I'm unsure how to go about looking for a doctor or which kind to look for (GP or OB/GYN).

OB/GYN sounds like the one to go to.

But i was fixed so I never had to take artificial hormones again. I did that on purpose. Now I pay the price of it I guess? I should find some organic meat too... Sigh... it's expensive.

In Canada I just had the physical done by my doctor every year. He ordered the lab work etc.

NLR - definitely obgyn. There are some PCPs in America that will do a yearly exam for women, but I remember you saying you had some family history and if it were me, I'd want it to be done by an obgyn in America.

Mine is due tomorrow and then I have to start all this testing ordered by the fertility clinic where they inject dye in and take tissue samples (two different days). :(

Don't listen to your husband, it is normal and recommended in America, especially if your insurance allows it, to go directly to a specialist. You definitely don't need a referral to an obgyn and it should be no more expensive than a PCP.

Oh sorry...try some dang gui supplement may be....

But a GP will do for a start. Eventually you'll need to find, or be referred to an OBGYN

It depends a lot on your insurance, but the way I do it for myself is:

extended stomach bug, cold, or skin irritation (like bad poison ivy) = primary care doctor

anything else non-acute = specialist

anything acute, like bad abdominal pain or dehydration = emergency room

I know my insurance covers a yearly physcial.

I was searching doctors.. and they were on my insurance's website as in network providers but not on this "health grades" website. Well I found out that my network in Colorado is specific to United Healthcare Options PPO (and might be different in another state). GEHA is confusing, but at least I have that part figured out.
