Hell Week over; several naps missed; dead on feet and other anatomic structures; some GSs lined up nearbyish for Saturday, but enthusiasm waning and rain is forecast. Birthday caucus for Mrs. T-B. scheduled for 2:30p -- prime siesta time, sigh and no zzz, man. Sneezing like ####### from chiefly oak, cedar, other tree, & grass pollen, wheeze man.

you should! i used japanese breadcrumbs/panko so the colour is lighter = prettier. also the mix on its own can be a little bland so i added garlic powder and spices.

pickled peppers not so nice to use but can be used if snowbound and no way to get out.

i do not know why this is, the less heat, but if it tastes hot, raw, it'll be less after you cook it.

you could always cheat a bit, use red chili in the oil, get the oil imbued prior, then cook the pepper poppers in it.

red chili keeps its heat when cooking. wink.png

welcome to the cold club.

Ya, I find that all recipes need a little tweaking. Two days ago I made a salad dressing based on allrecipes and it was gross...tried my best to make it taste ok.

Red chili is the best for heat for sure..I add it to stuff quite a bit.

Got two recipes for soda bread not sure if i am going to feel up to it today though.

i think the reason it lacked heat is because i removed the seeds, per the instructions, to spoon in the filling. next time i'm gonna toss the seeds back in the mix and maybe add some tabasco. the chilli oil is another idea.

sorry you're sick too...hope your wife is sufficiently recovered to make you some congee and soup.
