I wasn't going to say it, but when I was in Denmark, I saw this guy, about my husband's 6'6", walking with what looked to be his 8 or 9 year old daughter from the back. Then she turned around! Definitely not a daughter, but his Asian wife! From the front it is pretty obvious though. It is pretty rare there though, but they did change the law recently to make it easier for people to have non-European/CAA spouses, but the 24 years old minimum still applies and there is certainly a huge social stigma, especially for men, for going outside the Euro/CAA zone for wives.

Most of the guys I know that are happily married to Filipinas, not including unhappily married ones, could give a rats butt about what others think about it or social stigma. I know I've never been one to really care what other people thought, even before I met my wife.

Social stigma doesn't really exist in America, so it is a non-issue. We even got some comments and stuff about me being American and short (at 5'6").

How dare he stoop to be with you? And I mean that literally laughing.gif

There's actually a lot of social stigma in the USA. Maybe you're immune to it to, and just don't notice it.

douchehole's can be cleaned. well, any douchehole SHOULD be cleaned, daily. If smelly or blockage, prior, expect a longer cleaning.

Look at the first floor plan for a two bedroom. What the heck kind of room is off the kitchen with a door? Laundry room maybe?

that should be the air handler and the water heater. You pay your own.

the washer dryer is stacked next to the dishwasher

All bad fishermen use that excuse. "Well the good fishing is elsewhere". Or here they like to use "The indians speared all the fish". Good fishermen say, if there's water there's fish and then they go catch them.

Well he thinks the fishing around here is good. I don't like cat fish so I say it sucks. I want trout not brim or cat fish!

No No, you misunderstand me. A fishing buddy, for you, is the friend that gives you half of his catch. No fishing (for you) required. Somehow, this fishing buddy either set up a barter system with you or your husband, or is a friend of your husband that goes where the lakes are, often. Who knows? you could also make a post on craigslist and seek a private transaction.

I lived on a lake for 2 years as a child. No, this wasn't fun and glamour, I was one of the dogsbodies that handled all of the scut work and stoop-labour. Still, it was a good learning experience for me, as I learned all about organic micro-farming on that 5 acre spread, and could clean and gut 50 pounds o fish in under 10 minutes. I rarely fish this century, but would gladly drop a trot line given the opportunity.

I really need to find a buddy like this.

We've talked about twins, she and I, baby girls, for years. Finally we are seeing some light. Will know more in a week, I think ! [twins = my avatar, to remind me, often]

I always wanted twins, nice even number it would of saved me one or two pregnancies.

i would love to live in that hobbit house!

jonas put a deposit on that apartment we were interested in! looks like we have finally found our home for at least the next year. smile.png i am making jalapeno poppers tomorrow to celebrate!

Congrats!

poll question: did you all always want to have kids, or did your views change after marriage/after a certain age or point in your life?

I always wanted kids, and a big family. I couldn't see life any other way.

had 3 dark chocolates, 1/4 of banana, bite out of a cookie and lick of garlic hummus.

Are you trying to starve yourself? You need to feed your body more then that!

hhehehe

interview in NYC on Wednesday at 11am meeting with Assistant Dean, with current Program Administrator and one other person.

Woohoo! Hope you get it, good luck!

Ok i'm getting out of my PJ's and going shopping. Strawberries are on sale and I think hubby wants to treat me to lunch.
