Our chauffeur in Ecu, Gato (so-called because of his green eyes, like a cat), is cuckoo for the cockfights. He even showed me a printed flyer for one, see man.

No no catfish, but it wasn't much better it was tilapia

Hey! Tilapia is one of Ecu's chief exports, sea man!

---

Reminds me: Early after Mrs. T-B.'s arrival, she found something (resale) that had begun its retail life in Banana Republic. When she bought it, I was grinning. She asked why. I explained the concept of a "banana republic." She considered this and replied, "Bananas ARE one of Ecu's chief exports!"

How many what's are in 38.1 Celsius?!

Many, that's how many, duh man.

My husband has taken us out fishing but I guess the good fishing is a bit further away from us. I haven't looked into it too much, but I know they have trout in the northern part of the State.

2- Noodling is not fishing....

OK. The monetary system is the same as the old Polish system.

I can't even remember what the old Polish system is...

And the professor loves it. And he bets on the grey, humming "camp town races" bad Cary! Cary bad!

Loves it? Nah, just understands it. And is more aware of the reality of the situation rather than made up hype about it. People automatically think it equals bull fights, where the animal is killed, and banderillas are stabbed into the bull to get them enraged. Or dog fights, where the loser is either killed or disposed of after. Even the article you posted, using words such as Fight to the Death, yet there was no dead horse. Blood bath, yet there's no blood in any picture. Still people read the article and come away in their mind that the horses were tortured, bloody and dead. Even though not one of those things happened and the pictures even show that none of that happened. Just goes to show what sheep most people have become and believe anything they're told even when their own eyes are telling them its not true.

well the nearest town....one that has a couple of stores and bus is 2 mins walk away. Otherwise bigger town with doctors office and train stations and what not is 2 miles away maybe a little less. How much acreage...good question....it is not in my contract but it is in another document i dont have on me. Big enough that my parents cannot handle it anymore lol

Molly Malone ... oooh yes now I found it. hehehe

ps: dad is fine now. still terrified it might come back and if not then terrified of dying....cancer made him realize that time is very short especially when you acted badly towards people for most of it. I feel really really bad for him.

Want to see the picture of the place again now. I think I vaguely remember it.

Great now what the heck am I to do! Finding fish here is hard.

find an asian grocery, buy a pampano or two, you do have a big clan there. Its good stuff. They go great on the grill to. Gut them, stuff veggies inside for flavoring, and grill away. No need to cut the head off, filet them, or even scale them. And another good thing, they're pretty cheap.

All bad fishermen use that excuse. "Well the good fishing is elsewhere". Or here they like to use "The indians speared all the fish". Good fishermen say, if there's water there's fish and then they go catch them.

Not in stable funds, but spread out. Some USA, some overseas, bit of small company, bit of mid sized companies.
