Great,Thank you..that is one thing that i did not have evidence of and that is the chat logs from QQ..

It was real easy. From your contact window right click on your contact and select "Message History" then "View Local Messages" from the menu. Then right click on the contact icon tab on the left and select "Export Message History". When the window comes up click on the "Save as Type" drop down and select how you would like it saved. The rest you should be able to figure out. I exported to mht then opened that file with internet explorer and copied everything there into a word doc so I could edit and format better as it is quite large.

i was amazed by mht format and what i could do with it.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Enlijoe,

I had a few of the red flags you mentioned in your first post. My wife had never been to the US. We met online. I submitted our petition after the first meeting. I'm divorced three times previously. Our age difference is nine years. (not significant, imo) I'm 48, she's 39.

We had no problems at any point in the process. I used the RFE I got to do additional front loading. We had chat logs from every day on MSN. I printed one days chat log per week...for every week we'd been talking. We also included QQ logs and emails that were exchanged. That's in addition to all the trip information and the pictures. We had pictures with her family from the trip I made to Guangxi. At the time of my petition, I had made one trip to see her. When we got the RFE, I'd made two trips....and so I sent evidence of that trip with my RFE response.

I will say this to warn you. At the interview...there were several questions in both English and in Mandarin about me being divorced three times. That seemed to be the biggest issue for the CO. I would assume it will come up in the interview. They weren't pleasant questions. The CO asked specifically, "Why do you trust someone that's been married three times"....several times. Be prepared.

Good luck!

Thanks for the great information. We have been going over interview questions. The topic of the divorces we have spent a fair amount of time on. Explaining to her about then. She does not care about it much. She knows I was married three times before but as far as what happened she is like "Thats in the past let focus on our future."

My wife's K1 interview went surprisingly fast and easy.

She didn't even know she was at the interview. She said she went to one window where they asked for my taxes, bank statements on the house I own,

Then she waited for the next window where a guy asked her about 10 questions in Chinese. He did ask her if she spoke Engilsh, to which she answered yes.

He didn't look at any of the pictures or the other proof of relationship. She said he was looking at a computer screen and asking questions from there.

They were how we met, which was in Belize, he asked her when she was there, and a few things about us, but not much.

He then told her she passed, again in Chinese to which she replied "That was the interview?"

She didn't know that was the interview.

I had heard a lot of how tough the Consulate there is, but we were both shocked how fast and simple it was.

She thinks, it has to do with her living and working in another country at one time for 3 years so A friend who runs a visa assistance program for people in her city said that probably was the main reason it happened that way.

It seems that with all the evidence she tool to the interview, the interviewer was focused mainly on what was on his screen, which would be the info that was already in the system on her and our relationship.

Take as much as you can, screenshots of conversations, photos, anything you think would be good evidence. It's better to have them and not be needed than to have them ask and then not have them.

You cannot go with her to the interview, but you can be outside for support. There are many on here including A&B above that were there for thier fiancee's interview.

I was also there for support at my wife's interview last August. As was rawlsca, but I don't think he posts on here anymore. :( It was priceless for me to be there waiting outside at the starbucks around the corner. The trip paid for itself knowing immediately that she passed just by seeing her in the distance walking back. Gave her my passport with the EoR lengthwise that I notorized at US citizen services the day before. Also gave me a chance to see the process as you walk right past the IV unit interview windows on the way out from US citizen services! :D

I'm in China now with my financee helping her get ready to come back with me. Wow does she have stuff! It's easy for me to do what was needed, but she's the one in the pleasure cooker. Getting her documents ready, medical check, interview, saying goodbye to family, new culture, etc. Fiancées have a heck of a lot of stuff to deal with. Any support is a huge plus for their future and the future of the marrage.
