Hello everyone,

I just recently joined this forum, so please advice me in any way you can. I filed for my husband an 1-130 petition on April 30,2013. Since then I have been on the initial stage. My husband lives in yemen. I also found out about the 1-129f and i filed that on august 19,2013. Same as i-130 I haven't heard back. On november I was sent a notice saying my file was transferred to the Nebraska Service Center and today I got an email saying my file is transferred to a local office for "additional processing". I literally call the 1-800 every month to seek any updates, but no luck. I get the same message that it's still within "normal" processing time. I know other people that have filed an i130 BEFORE me and their spouse is here. Is this the case for only people that are applying to spouse in Yemen?

Also, what do they mean by transfer to local office for additional processing?

Thanks in advance!

I 130 is for spouse, I 129F is for fiancee therefore you cannot do both. I expect the yemen is considered high risk so they will be looking at your case closely.

@nobbie, actually you can. An I-129F is k1 for a fiance and k-3 is for a married couple, which is the one I did.

HI Bntelymen1

seeing from your name, I am assuming you're from yemen. You said that both 1i-130 and i-129f got approved. when did you file? Are they now at the national visa center?
