i think the picture explains my dilemma. I did not attempt to open it, of course, and i was 100x careful with an incision at the plastic big enough to retrieve my passport. Should I go back to the USEM in Manila? or is this alright? Looking at the tear, I think whats only missing is the letter O assuming the first word is Online.

This is just sad, I mean after all the wait, you get this. And then you couldnt just sit here thinking it's alright while it could eventually cause bigger problems at the POE. I was just wondering if its easy to get this replaced/repackaged without having to queue all day at the embassy :-(

Sorry if this is my first post. I was preparing to share a very detailed thread for my experience (K1 Fiance, same sex) since there are only a few of us here. But I will, soon.

Is the sealed yellow envelope in tact? The ONLY thing you need to worry about at POE is that yellow envelope. Everything else inside the package is yours. As long as there is no tear in that envelope you are fine.

Hi, I just have a concern about my US Visa packet, the 3 corners of the brown envelop was slightly wrinkled.although it has no cuts. also, when I open the 2go plastic to get my passport. I lost the plastic envelop of the 2go, do I need to have the pastic, or just the brown envelop and my passport with visa? do I need to return the visa packet to the Embassy for the replacement of the cover? and if ever it needs to be returned for replacement, do I need to pay something? like the replacement? thanks,
