French translation?

My fiance's grandfather sent me an email. I think he used a google translator. What he said was:You are within a framework with Guillaume. I don't understand what that means. So I google translated into French, and I'm wondering if the google translation: Vous êtes dans un cadre avec GUILLAUME means something different.

So, what does "Vous êtes dans un cadre avec GUILLAUME" mean?

I thought Guillaume is the French equivalent of the name William.

And I looked up cadre, and it seems to mean any type of frame or box, even a picture frame.... Could that be it? You are in a picture with William?

Ok, I'm going to stop pretending that I speak French.

It is. In fact, when I am out with him and his friends, when they speak to me about him, they call him William. I have to keep reminding them that I call him Guillaume, not William!

"cadre" means frame, like picture frame. Maybe he means he framed a photo with you and Guillame? Or he can see the picture of your life with Guillame?

Maybe the phrase you translated isn't the phrase he originally used. Sometimes with those automated translators, the reverse doesn't always equal the original saying.
