Since it's been mentioned a few times, what is the proper birth certificate? Is there a short / long form like we have in America?

Just curious as we are just are just past the NOA2 step and everything seems to be moving so fast dancin5hr.gif

-Jan 24th, 2014 sent in I-129F

-Jan 31ist, 2014 received NOA1 via text/email. Arrived at CSC

-Feb 4th, 2014 received Alien registration number.

-Feb 24th, 2014 received NOA2

-Mar 12, 2014 Arrived at Embassy

-Mar 20, 2014 Packet 3 sent to Embassy

-Mar 28, 2014 Received packet 3 instructions in mail

-Mar 25, 2014 Interview date set

-Apr 4, 2014 Interview.. approved :dancing:

-May 21, 2014 - PoE LV NV

-May 30, 2014 - Married

It depends on the country. China consulates and embassies for example does not accept any paperwork that is not translated. So, there is no standard on this.

The proper BC. Will be acquired at the official office (village hall) in the town of birth. Needs to have the red stamp. Get a few of them while you are there. You'll need them along the way.

Okay thanks Slowlyman. Will be taking a trip back to the village after she receives the visa but before I bring her back to the states, I will be sure we stock up.
