Renewing passport, have questions (split topic)

Hello All!

Back after ages! Bumping this to see if anything has changed. We need to renew my husband's passport before it gets too late. We are planning to be in North Carolina in the fall and may make a side trip to DC while we are there. Is this something we can do on a vacation like that, or should we just go the mail it in route?

A Google search would have sent you to Gov.uk which then would have told you what you needed to know. Which is that you can now only mail passport applications all the way back to the UK.

If you use skype, or are able to call the UK.

0300 222 0000 Option 2. They are trained to give you the advice for any specific situation. Passport rules change bi-annually so it is worth giving them a buzz

My husband completed the online form at https://www.gov.uk/apply-renew-passport 3 weeks ago today to renew his UK Passport that will shortly be expiring. 2 weeks ago today we mailed the declaration page signature and the passport photos.

We are hoping to get them back soon.

It is cheaper to do if you are in the UK, as it cost us 147.86 GBP, I think.

Am i able to use a US debit/ credit card to pay for my passport? If not, what payment options are there?
