I have a question concerning the Affidavit of Support Form along with the AOS packet. When we sent it out we didn't have my husband's W2 for 2013 so we sent everything until 2012.

There is one question in the affidavit of support that says: "My current annual income" and what we did was just multiply his last paycheck for 12 but we just got our W2 for 2013 and the amount that the document states is not what the result of our multiplication was, it way less because it doesn't show the salary he is making now.

We are just worried because we put a wrong amount in that question because we didn't have the w2 yet, needless to say the w2 for 2013 is over the poverty limit but we are just afraid that it will cause troubles. We have our biometrics appt in two weeks. Should we mention it?

Thank you!

Current annual income is not past income. His W-2 shows what he made he last year in 2013. What does he currently make? His hourly rate multiplied by hours he works a week, then multiplied by 52 weeks would get his current annual income. That does not have to match his 2013 W-2. You use a letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs to prove current income amount.

We are in a similar situation since I did not start work until May 2013, because I was in school the previous years. That means I had no tax returns except for 2013. I wouldn't worry though, if the reviewing officials need something else they will send us a RFE.

Thanks! For some weird reason I thought his 2013 w2 had to match his current salary multiplied by hours and then 52!

We did provide a letter from his employer and the past 6 months pay stubs so I think we are okay now :)
