Hi all -

This morning I received the status update advising of an alien registration number having been assigned. I have seen some people include this in their timeline signatures, and i'd like to do the same but don't see the field for it on the VJ timeline form.

Am I right to presume people create their own timeline signatures from plain text, since it forms no part of the official VJ timeline?

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

Yes, I see that a lot here. Did you simply write it yourself?

Yes, indeed.

Ok thank you. Seems useful if only in the interests of keeping a diary. And sharing of course.

You're welcome. My intention is to give an insight to others how the K-1 visa process started from the beginning to the end. Certainly everyone has own process though and based on my personal experience, I'd like to compare time processing from many users here to get an idea estimate time on average. Some people do like I do.

I think you'll find as you wait that it is nice to see how long it took people to hit certain milestones in the immigration process. I remember while I was waiting looking at signatures of other VJ members to see how long certain things took them, and I personally found it comforting in a lot of ways. While every case is different and there is no guarantee you'll have the same timeline as someone else, it was just nice to see what other members went through.

People put timelines of their immigration journey and other things in their signature. You can deal with the signature under your profile settings. You can also choose to turn off being able to see other people's signatures. I chose to do that, since some people have really long and/or large signatures. Those tend to get in the way of reading through the actual posts.
