hi everyone!!!

yes we are married but i leave at 5am friday morning. it's now 10;21pm and i'm only now in a net cafe with a crappy keyboard who's space button doesn't work. we've been unable to find time until now to go to a net cafe  but when i got janine's call i suspected i should log in. :innocent: thanks janine...it was good to hear your voice btw!!!!!!

i'll post more friday or saturday since this keyboard sucks bigtime but i have never been so happy and sad at the same time in such a short period of time. his sisters are wonderful and cooked for us and just about gave me all the jewlery they own even though i kept saying no.lol. i guess it's a tradition for them to give what is dearest to them.was so sweet and the mashi they made was soooo good.

so usama left me here for15 min todo something and this dude next tome is singing with his headphones on and he sounds like a dead lamb....which btw i saw my fill of during the eid. oh boy that was not fun!! you have these bright lights but then you look expecting toys and such and you find tons of dead meat hanging for all tosee. i made friends with one lamb near our flat and was sad when he wasn't there the day after :crying: i should have known 'cause he had a pink color on him which means his number's up. oh well.

ok i'm not gonna type anymore since it's too frustrating here so i'll read all the juicy gossip i think i'm seeing in other threads. missed this place. hahahaha. love you all.melly.........i bet you can't wait now!!!

You just wanted to see if we would miss you :P Well we did so don't do that again. Next tiime you leave town, you will POST your phone number for ALL to see. Sheesh maybe now my blood pressure will finally go down.

She should be on the plane by now on her way home. Wishing her a safe and pleasant trip and a nice welcome home for when she's back. :)

And ditto about the phone number!!! :P

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Hey there you! Your posts make me "homesick" for the fun and glory that is Egypt. (kinda) Yep, Mohammed is here in the US of A, full of wonder and confusion, and we married the day before you did. Hope you had a great time and your "paper journey" goes quickly for both of you. Gawd, I'm still pinching myself...

Congratulations to you both!

I wasn't terribly wowed by them either. At first it's...oh the pyramids cool. Then after driving by them a few times it takes away the wow factor. They're huge and have a lot of history behind them and all but really not spectacular. At least the ones at Giza. Maybe the others are cooler.

How were you not "wowed" by the Pyramids? I just can't believe that!

I was. :crying: :crying: :crying:

My daughters and my ex picked me up from the airport last night. I gave my daughters some presents and we snuggled a bit and then went to bed at like 9:30pm 'cause I was up for 30 hours straight since we didn't wanna waste any time that we had together.

I'm sooooo out of it today. It's wicked hot here...in the high 60's I think and a LOT warmer than Cairo.

I chatted with Usama last night and had to hold back the tears 'cause I didn't want my kids to think I was sad to be with them. I want to just crawl under the covers and stay there all day today but my oldest got a lot of money from doing tons of chores at her dad's house and from christmas and wants to go buy an ipod so we need to go to the mall soon. I am so not in the mood for that. I just want to be online with him and cry for hours. I don't cry much in front of my kids only because I need to be able to function around them so I think I'll fall apart wednesday when they're with their dad again for the night.

I don't know how I'm gonna function Monday. At least we just have a staff meeting for most of the day so I don't really have to do anything.

I need to go on a wicked diet starting Monday. He kept saying he was happiest when he was watching me eat. okkkkk.......... I bet I gained a good 10 pounds at least while I was there and I feel like a big fat water baloon.

Awwww...coming back is always so hard and it takes a while to readjust. I think it's harder on the person you leave behind because they are left in the place where there are all the memories. I'm not sure if that will make you feel better or worse. (Hoping for making you feel better! (F) ) You will both be okay, but it will take a few days (or more) to get back to your more regular self.

Just do not be too hard on yourself and let yourself slowly adjust- its not just the time change and travel....its deeper emotionally. Sleep when you can this week-end. Maybe a friend can take the kids to a movie tomorrow and give you some time to be alone?

My sister's coming over tomorrow so I'll get a little break but I don't want to be alone now. Yeah thinking of him is the thing that is making me cry. He keeps texting me saying he's falling apart because everywhere he looks he sees me and feels like he has died inside. :(
