Anyone with phone contact with Doodlebug?

If anyone on this forum has phone contact with Doodlebug, can you try to call and see if she is ok? She promised me in a PM that she would let us know how things were going. So now some of us are officially worried.

I just spoke with Bridget. She is still in Egypt and will be returning tomorrow. She said everything is fine and yes they are married. It was only a quick call so I didn't get any details. I am sure that she will tell you all about it when she returns.

hi everyone!!!

yes we are married but i leave at 5am friday morning. it's now 10;21pm and i'm only now in a net cafe with a crappy keyboard who's space button doesn't work. we've been unable to find time until now to go to a net cafe but when i got janine's call i suspected i should log in. thanks janine...it was good to hear your voice btw!!!!!!

i'll post more friday or saturday since this keyboard sucks bigtime but i have never been so happy and sad at the same time in such a short period of time. his sisters are wonderful and cooked for us and just about gave me all the jewlery they own even though i kept saying no.lol. i guess it's a tradition for them to give what is dearest to them.was so sweet and the mashi they made was soooo good.

so usama left me here for15 min todo something and this dude next tome is singing with his headphones on and he sounds like a dead lamb....which btw i saw my fill of during the eid. oh boy that was not fun!! you have these bright lights but then you look expecting toys and such and you find tons of dead meat hanging for all tosee. i made friends with one lamb near our flat and was sad when he wasn't there the day after i should have known 'cause he had a pink color on him which means his number's up. oh well.

ok i'm not gonna type anymore since it's too frustrating here so i'll read all the juicy gossip i think i'm seeing in other threads. missed this place. hahahaha. love you all.melly.........i bet you can't wait now!!!

Hey Doodle- glad to hear from you. For the record I wasn't worried, I wouldn't have taken time from my sweetie to come online BUT I have been curious- can;t wait to hear all about your trip- from the airplne ride to the wedding to all your impressions of Egypt.

Congratulations on the Wedding. Hope you will share pics when you come home. Have a safe trip! And enjoy every last minute there!

as long as you're cool with tons of thick thick black smog and breathing through your nose so as not to taste the diesel exhaust while walking in the city you'll be fine since they won't be sacraficing lambs in the street while you're here.

i will i will it just takes soooo long to type on this thing!!!!!!!!

quick snippet:

1) arrived tuesday night at midnight

2) wanted toget married that minute since he is so much more than i thought!!!

3) took wed to just walkaroundand buy our rings

4) got married thurs with his cousin and a best friend as witnesses. long story involving him hoping from one mosque rooftop to another and breaking into his flat toget id but i'll tell that one later. hahaha

5) went on camel, screamed when camel stood up, got the fluck off of the camel and went on horse ride to pyramids instead. wasn't "wowed" by them but it was still fun.

6) went on nile cruise at night on new year's day.

7) sisters made up with him because of me and i love them

8) sad tobe leaving now.

9) spent most of the time in the flat.

10) heathrow airport is a pit!!!!!!! i was expecting this shiney organized place and it's so dirty and unorganized. not looking forward to my 4 1/2 hour layover there tomorrow. can't believe we have togo through security lines all over again when we get there even though logan already did that. oh well. food on ba was really good though and my seat selections were awesome 'cause there was only a wall in front of us where i sat and i got the window seat and we could put our legs up.

11) wearing hijaab is kind of awesome but i'm not so sure i'll do it once i get home. i put it on in heathrow and lemme tell ya i got some badass reactions. i had sat down the first four hours without it...getting smiles and such. once i put it on the rest of the 4 hours was spentgetting the evil eye from just about everyone. was funny though 'cause i was the only one with hijaab on boarding the plane to cairo at heathrow and when we landed just about every woman on that plane suddenly donned the big bad hijaab and some even the niqaab. hahaha. was too funny that these people giving me " the look" before were now wearing it too.

12) totally not used to everyone staring at me. you'd think i was a martian or something. his family said it's not that i'm foreign but that i'm foreign with hijaab....they're not used to that i guess.

ok enough. i'm freakin' cold in here and have to put my mittens on. these people have something against heat i tell ya!!!
