Hello, I am in ontario canada, and had my approved K1 visa delivered to my home. I open the package to find my visa and a brown envelope which clearly says do not open.

And what do I find.... not only opened, but damaged, ripped up! There is no way this will be accepted. How can loomis/dhl be so careless?

Now I have read that I have to go all the way back to montreal. But I searched and searched and could not find where to make a general appointment. I called the numbers, no answer, or it was automated information.

Who do I call (please provide the numbers because I absolutly can not find any proper numbers) and when to make an appointment to see them about fixing this? I am certain I cant just show up because i have read that some have been turned away because they did not have an appointment.

Thank you to all who will help

Thank you but I already know that.

I am really at a loss here, it seems that there is no way to communicate with these people other than email that can take weeks? I do not have that kind of time, or money to waste showing up at the consulate only to be turned away.. Has anyone had to go through this with the montreal consulate?

Contact Montreal via their online website and also contact the DHL. You can send it back via DHL and Montreal can reseal if for you but only if they know it's coming and can only make sure it's free if they know it's coming. Other people have had to do this, and this is how it's done. Yes it sucks that you cannot phone or email Montreal but that's how the US runs their consulate.
