Hello All,

I haven't posted before but I could not keep this news to myself....I received an

e-mail today saying that we were approved!!! I am sooooo excited!!! Happy New Year!

I know that the next step is the NVC and then on to the embassy. My question is what exactly is in the packets 3 and 4? I want to start gathering stuff now and I can't seem to find this information. I know that I have to get the AOS ready and send that to my fiance, is there anything else? Thanks in advance for your help. And to anyone else out there waiting for their NOA 2....I am praying for you, its a WONDERFUL feeling to see that in your in box!

3/16/06 - Met on-line

11/5/06 - Traveled to Tunisia/Algeria for a 2 week visit (best 2 weeks of my life!!)

12/14/06 - Sent in our I-129F Form

12/16/06 - Notified by post office that our I-129F was delivered

12/19/06 - NOA1

12/21/06 - Check cashed

12/27/06 - Touched!!!!!!!!!

1/3/07 - NOA2 - SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!! Happy New Year

1/12/07 - Letter recieved from NVC via snail mail (called and they said it was sent to Algiers on 1/10/07)

2/10/07 - Interview!!!

2/19/07 - Visa received

2/27/07 - US Entry thru JFK - work permit issued

2/21/2007---Packet 4 recieved.

3/12/2007---Interview (He Passed)!

3/12/2007---Administrative Processing begins.............God please help me get through this!

7/17/2007---Our 2 Year Anniversay!!!

10/23/2007--7 months and 2 weeks of A/P and still waiting..........God help me!

4/22/2008---2nd Interview ( keep us in your prayers)

4/22/2008--He was approved for the Visa 2-3 weeks until he recieves it in the mail lets hope so!!

6/03/2008--VISA IN HAND! Thank you god!

7/03/2008--Our Wedding Day!

Please read the guides that are on the tab at the top of this page. There you can find all the documents and info that you will need to gather & put together packet 3, it's all very nice and detailed in there. :thumbs:

The AOS isn't gotten ready yet, maybe you're thinking of the I-134.

Have a read of the guides... AOS (adjustment of status) is something that happens after your fiance is in the States and you are married, not something you need to 'send your fiance' now. Look at the K1 FAQs under 'the K1 process completed by the fiance', there's plenty of info there for a start. You should be able to find more info on the website of the consulate you'll be going through, too - you can see the forms your fiance will be sent that he'll need to fill in, and a list of the documents they'll need him to take to his interview. You'll need to send him the originals/certified copies) of any documents (your birth certificate, for example) that were submitted with the I-129F, and also the necessary affidavit of support and supporting evidence. Like I said... have a read of the guides on here, the consulate website... the foreign embassy & consulate forum on here, as well as the Middle East & North Africa one (for specific info about what to expect from the consulate in Algeria) would also be good places to have a read through some threads & ask questions.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to say... congratulations!! :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

oooops....I was thinking that AOS was affidavit of support, I'm still learning all of this abbreviations. Thanks for the help, this guide was just what I was looking for. I had seen if before and could not remember how to get back there.

Hey Congratulations! :dance: I won't attempt to tell you all that would be in your packet 3, but you will need to gather stuff like police reports, divorce cetificates, I-134 Affidavit of support documents (Employer letter, Bank letter, Tax Returns etc.), birth certificate, name change document, original proofs of relationship, intent to marry letters, and stuff like that.
