My interview is on April 4, what about you?

Hi! Thank you. I'll post there. ? My interview date is any day since Feb 26, 2014 as long as my requirements are ready. ? I was granted an expedite by the US embassy because of the typhoon in my hometown in Leyte. Im planning to make April 16 my interview date or maybe sooner if i get all my requirements ready. :-) Edited by MCGCB

Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: Italy
Timeline

Ok, thanks for the advise! I'll talk to my husband about coming back to the Philippines on a later date to avoid possible problems.

Thanks for this! That do you mean "not by law"? Whats the existing law about this? I tried to google it, but I couldnt find the answers.

Law is that greencard holders must be living in the USA as it is a permit for permanent residency... which means spand a majority of their time in the USA... Entering the usa, then immediatly leaving for an extended period of time and Pushing it to the limit of the 6 months outside the country is not a good thing. However, under 6 months and you do not need any additional extension documents from a legal point of view...

10/14/2000 - Met Aboard a Cruise ship

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

Yes, i speak both dialects. Good to know youre not affected by that storm. It hit us in Leyte very badly.

Im very impressed with the US govt for giving leyte people an expedite process for VISA.
