I just did a case inquiry through the website...

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

I'm sure nothing will actually come of it. This is so frustrating. But it's better than the AP black hole we were in for a while. At least we are living together...

How can I escalate my case? I really want to know whats going on before Christmas

To escalate your case, you first must calculate to know that your case is above the normal processing time (6 months) but in the case with USCIS they have their own timeline. So call customer service and try to do a service request letting them know your case is outside normal process time. They might be able to set it up if indeed it has passed USCIS processing limit. They will give u a reference number and u should receive an email in a day or two from your Service Center giving you an update as to what is the current status of your case. If you are not too impress with the response u get, do an INFOPASS and go to a local office and meet an immigration officer who might be able to better explain to you the nature of your case. Your other option is to just wait if you dont get your GC in time and the next window opens in March 2015, apply for Citizenship and they will fast track your GC. Good luck to you and the other folks.

I have to go for an interview at my local office and bring evidence. I thought I provided pretty good evidence as well when i applied. On the letter they sent me they bolded and underlined the fact that they want me to bring a copy of my daugthers birth certificate. She wasn't born when we applied for ROC.

Can you take children to the interview?

Hi GC, when my wife and I had our initial interview we took our little daughter with us. The immigration agent asked us during the interview why we took her with us and we said that it was to early to leave her at her school. Everything went fine during and after our interview.

Everything should be fine for you it's only a matter of time.

Good luck!

Are you guys getting ready to apply for the citizenship?

I became a resident on 05/22/12, so I guess I should be able to sign the application and mail it as soon as 02/21/2015. Anyone feeling froggy, and cannot wait to apply?

Hey you guys. So we are March 2014 fliers who have still not received approval :(

On 12/9/14, I did a case inquiry, and we were told:

"The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required security checks remain pending.

Until the security checks have been completed, we cannot move forward on your case. These security checks are required to be completed on all applicants who apply for the immigration benefit you are seeking. We will make every effort to make a decision on this case as soon as the security checks are complete. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please contact the National Customer Service Center"

So basically, we can't ask again until May?? Will they give another year extension? Will he be able to travel (we always go visit his family in summer)? We are at a loss.
