Starting to worry now. I'm a VSC filer.

My filing date was march 20 I did biometrics on april 25. I've had no RFP after 6 months had passed i called USCIS. They did a service request and the next day (Oct 8) I got an email saying my file was in transit to my local field office. Is it likely they have a problem with my application?

08 Feb 2012, Day 0 Sent I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131 and G-1145

09 Feb 2012, Day 1 Package received at Chicago Lockbox

14 Feb 2012, Day 6 Email of acceptance, application being sent to NBC

15 Feb 2012, Day 7 $1070 check cashed.

16 Feb 2012, Day 8 $420 cheque cashed

27 Feb 2012, Day 19 Bio appointment letter received

02 Mar 2012, Day 22 RFE received

03 Mar 2012, Day 23 RFE returned with info

07 Mar 2012, Day 27 Acknowledgement of RFE returned - now waiting for their response

20 Mar 2012, Day 40 Did Biometrics - previously rejected for walk in bio @ Elizabeth, NJ and Manhattan

So - I would say not necessarily. I had a 7 month delay. It took them 4 days between opening my file and approving it and my letter came from the local office. I keep running across similar cases on this forum. I think it might just be something the VSC is doing to handle volume. All of that said, I don't know for sure. I know this is hard, but until they indicate to you that they have a problem, I would not worry about it.

hey guys, i'm March fillers and i Got RFE, anyway they asked for

- joint ownership of assets. ( we live with my wife's parents )
- joint responsability for liabilities,
- joint occupancy and shared responsibility for a common residence, or
- Active commingling of finances


guys any help plz since we live with my wife's parents and there is no bills shows our names since it's in her fathers name

1) assets can bank accounts, cars, bonds, stocks, anything that has value that has both your names on it. Car leases, payment plans for high priced items .I would send anything that falls into this category. For bank accounts, send records as far back as you can - try to get records that go back to at least the point where conditional residency was given. This is especially important if your assets are few -they want to see continuous joint ownership.

2) joint responsibility for liabilities - credit cards are liabilities. Do you have any joint debt like that? Again, records back to at least conditional residency, if you can.

3) joint occupancy - I"m sure about this, but you could combine the following a) letters addressed to either or both of you at that address (personal letters, any of your personal bills), an affidavit from her parents attesting to the fact that you live there together, for how long etc... An affidavit from someone else attesting the same. Is there any authority that says you live there - the DMV, your university etc? I would include any joint leases prior to you living with her parents as well. Health bills. Your health insurance card , provided you are both listed on the same card suggests that you are sharing responsibility for one another, at the very least.

4)So active commingling of finances would be the joint accounts, I mentioned earlier - and any other financial interests you might share. Again, records back to at least conditional residency being issued, if you can.

I'm not sure if it is appropriate to send info. they didn't ask for in an RFE - but if other people here agree, then on your cover letter detailing the information you are sending (the four things they requested etc), I would then have a subsection for additional evidence - and then throw in anything else you can think of that demonstrates that you live together in a genuine marriage and are sharing responsibility for running a home. So, if you have a pet adoption certificate with both your names on it, then include that.

So - I would say not necessarily. I had a 7 month delay. It took them 4 days between opening my file and approving it and my letter came from the local office. I keep running across similar cases on this forum. I think it might just be something the VSC is doing to handle volume. All of that said, I don't know for sure. I know this is hard, but until they indicate to you that they have a problem, I would not worry about it.

27 Feb 2012, Day 19 Bio appointment letter received

02 Mar 2012, Day 22 RFE received

03 Mar 2012, Day 23 RFE returned with info

07 Mar 2012, Day 27 Acknowledgement of RFE returned - now waiting for their response

20 Mar 2012, Day 40 Did Biometrics - previously rejected for walk in bio @ Elizabeth, NJ and Manhattan

30 Mar 2012, Day 50 online status changed to inform me of interview on Mayis day 49

02 Apr 2012, Day 53 EAD & AP in production
