Biometrics ended up being a total breeze. Showed up early (10ish AM) and was out by 10:30am. The USCIS office was busy, but the bio area was dead, only a couple other people. The process is fast so it moves along quickly :)

Biometrics done, appointment was at 9 but showed up at 8 and out of there by 8:15. Ended up being an awesome day of sightseeing with Trav and his best friend!

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!

I received an RFE today asking for my divorce decree and more evidence of good faith marriage. Oh and also asking for "identity document" such as driver's license? I've never heard of them asking for that hmm....

Well I'm kind of stuck now because divorce in California takes at least 6 months and they're asking for all this to be submitted by August 11th :(

That does seem really strange, because how did you get your 2 year green card without the divorce decree? I had to submit mine when we did our CR-1 filing.

Drivers license also seems like a really strange request. Why would they need that?

Ok, now I am really confused. Is your green card not based on marriage?

Never mind, I just read your timeline. Now it makes sense. In that case, not sure how you can go any further without the divorce decree, since it's based on that.

I have received the 1 year extension and biometrics, haven't heard anything else. Today I put my receipt number in the uscis web site and it says my file cant be found at this time???

You have to put bio appointment # on uscis website to track your case.NOA # does not work. :)
