Well, I asked for advice on this weeks ago and the consensus at that time was that I should stay because my original file was sent in March. Be that as it may, I'll go since you seem to think it would be best. Thanks!

Nope, I'm staying I can better build my expectations of what is ahead. Besides, I filed in March. Let's let USCIS open their mail at the pace they see fit. :)

Why would these people be asked to leave this thread when they clearly filed in March? Like Daeras said, it's not their fault USCIS took their time getting the mail... Or even in Trav&Shell's case with a document missing and having to resend it! Everyone's circumstance is different and the thread clearly states this is for March Filers.... Does it bother anyone else that these members received their NOA in April? Not me... And I look forward to seeing your updates!

Removal of Conditions

[03-24-2014] ROC paperwork sent.

[03-25-2014] NOA1.

[04-21-2014] Biometrics

Biometrics completed this morning.

We were there about 30 minutes. The lady had problems with my wife's fingerprints and kept trying until she was sure they were good so that we wouldn't have to come back again.

Everyone there was too nice, which is another reason we were there for so long, because one lady needed to talk to my wife about Brazil. She had been to Salvador and loved it there and wants to go back again.

So my biometrics appointment is on Friday at 11 am. Do people show up for their time, or should I be there for when they open (I assume 8 am) ? Just don't want to be there at like 10:30 and find out there are 28437923 people in line ahead of me.

No procedures. Just go ahead and walk in. There is no guarantee that you will succeed, though, so your mileage may vary.

In my area there are two USCIS offices doing biometrics. I went to the one that I had the appointment for and they told me that if I wanted a walk-in I had to go to the other one. In the second location they were more than happy (gleeful, I would say) to have me walk in!

I received the biometrics appointment last Monday for May 6th, but I was able to do a walk-in today. Five minutes, in and out.

Can you plz explain the procedures of early biometrics? Do you need to call them or reschedule before you walk in?

The journey started with the adjustment of status on April 3 2012:

April 5 2012 (day 2) — Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox
April 6 2012 (day 3) — Notice: fingerprint fee accepted
April 9 2012 (day 6) — Received emails and texts, checks were cashed
April 14 2012 (day 11) — Received notices of action, alien number assigned
April 16 2012 (day 13) — Biometrics appointment notice received by mail (for May 9 2012, day 36)
April 17 2012 (day 14) — Successful early walk-in for fingerprinting/biometrics (22 days early)
May 21 2012 (day 48) — Interview appointment notice received by mail (for June 26 2012, day 84), also by email and text message (18:30)
May 31 2012 (day 58) — EAD card in production, (first) notice received by email and text message (17:45)
Jun 1 2012 (day 59) — AP approved, notice received by email and text message (18:30)
Jun 5 2012 (day 63) — EAD card in production, (second) notice received by email and text message (18:15)
Jun 6 2012 (day 64) — EAD card mailed to the address on file, notice received by email and text message (17:45)
Jun 8 2012 (day 66) — EAD card received by mail

July 2 2012 (day 90) — Card mailed to the address on file, notice received by email and text message (18:15)

...it continued with the removal of conditions on March 28 2014 (1 year, 9 months, and 2 days after approval of adjustment of status):

So my biometrics appointment is on Friday at 11 am. Do people show up for their time, or should I be there for when they open (I assume 8 am) ? Just don't want to be there at like 10:30 and find out there are 28437923 people in line ahead of me.

Might depend on where you are. We arrived about 5 minutes before time and there were 5 people in line ahead of us.
