For the record, I'm not INFERRING anything. She accurately predicted what would happen. Now I submit a challenge to you: what part of her quoted statement to you find "asinine?"

Her entire statement is asinine because she did not predict anything... Russia did not invade Crimea because Obama is POTUS any more than they invaded Georgia because Bush was an imbecile. Russia invaded Georgia because it was important for their security. Russia now is mobilized in Crimea because of their massive military presence in the peninsula. It is a matter of national security for them.

Having said that however, I believe that if you subscribe to the notion she actually predicted something, you should run with it.

She nailed it, and you missed the nail and hit your thumb.

Everyone in the mainstream media poo-pooed this as not being possible. She must have had a crystal ball, because she saw obama's indecision and moral equivalence and so did Putin. Now, Putin is like a fox in the hen house.

It's amazing to me watching the brainwashed actually say " she did not say that. There is no disputing what she said, no spinning, no denying. She nailed it.

I agree. I do not dispute for a second she made an asinine remark, devoid or gravitas. It is amazing to watch the brainwashed [sic] attempt to give it a context is does not have.

Hang with me if you will. Let's parse out your statements and show just how much you are injecting commentary without foundation:

Her entire statement is asinine because she did not predict anything

In 2008, Sarah Palin predicted Putin would invade the Ukraine, because while Obama was still Senator, he showed his indecision and moral equivalence after Putin had invaded Georgia. By the way, that's not Georgia USA. A little more help with a definition:

Moral Equivalence: is a term used in political debate, usually to criticize any denial that a moral hierarchy can be assessed of two sides in a conflict, or in the actions or tactics of two sides.

... Russia did not invade Crimea because Obama is POTUS any more than they invaded Georgia because Bush was an imbecile.

Such colorful language that demonstrates your towering intellect and ability to get to the bottom of an issue. From your reasoning, I guess all Americans should arm up and protect themselves because according to you, the President of the United States isn't going to step out and protect us, our neighbors, or our allies.

Russia invaded Georgia because it was important for their security. Russia now is mobilized in Crimea because of their massive military presence in the peninsula. It is a matter of national security for them.

Do you have a direct telephone line or connection to the Putin administration? Do you have a copy of the audio in which you learned this valuable nugget, or did you just pull it from your posterior?

Having said that however, I believe that if you subscribe to the notion that actually predicted something, you should run with hit.

Sorry, unlike you, I do not subscribe to notions. I prefer to use facts, and evidence when it comes to topics like this.

This thread is awesome. Palin could've said water was wet and people would laugh it off because she is Sarah Palin. Then years later when it was proven she was correct that in fact water is actually wet, they try and say that's not what she meant. She actually said water is moist or damp. The Palin haters will go to their grave before admitting she got one thing right. Just for the record I'm no Sarah Palin fan (see my comment about the blind squirrel).

That's the problem with this country. People so dug into their respective political camps that they would argue about such a stupid thing.

Bottom line, she got it right. Get over it. There's about 1000 other things she's got wrong.

Be prepared to respond to some really big words. Gegel is breaking out his dictionary as we speak, ready to dazzle you with words that will have you scratching your head.

I think you're giving him too much credit. From his previous posts it seems he's more likely trying to prove water isn't wet.

I agree. Yet, the motley crew will not understand what she said has nothing to do with who the POTUS was at the time or who he is now. What is asinine is the she made a connection where none existed.

The mere fact you've used slurs constantly, your signature block is more offensive than what's been removed, and you're unabashedly racist, looks like you don't need one.

For the record, I think Obama has been a pretty good foreign policy president. Better than most in fact. This need to bash him no matter what he does, gets old. That said, Bush went through the exact same thing. That doesn't make it right, it's just the way things have become in this country politically. Although, the guy has been a disaster with domestic policy IMO.

I personally thought it would be the other way around. Maybe not having any foreign policy experience makes good foreign policy presidents. Reagan and Kennedy were two of the best in modern times, and I don't think either of them and much foreign policy experience. Although Bush Jr. didn't either, and he was a disaster. So much for that theory. sad.png

I don't know. What did the video say..You have made multiple replies with a lot of LOL and other nonsense, but have yet to tell me how what she clearly said was wrong.

So let me get this straight: Sarah was saying that without Obama winning in 2008 (and again in 2012 which she predicted that year would not happen, by the way) the people of Ukraine would have not risen up and evicted the Russian puppet? They would not have told Putin and his corrupt and murderous tool in Kiev to go and perform an unnatural act on themselves? That is what you're saying she foresaw in her infinite wisdom and foreign policy expertise? You're freaking hilarious! You know that, right?
