okay,

this may already be answered in another thread but everything seems very situational. So, here is my question:

My husband came on a K-1 and we got married in 2013. He received his EAD but had no taxable income in 2013. We had out interview in 2014 and he received his green card in 2014. How do I file?

* March 13, 2012- HE PROPOSED!

* October 25, 2013- MARRIED!

* January 8, 2014- AOS APPROVED!

If you're married and living together, why wouldn't you file married filing jointly? Your only options are Married filing jointly and married filing separately... and let me tell you, there is really financially, no benefit to married filing separately.

You can file MFJ if you like!

"No taxable income" what do you mean by that? Does that mean no income or something else?

he has no income that we will be reporting last year from wither US or home country.

Looks like we will go with MFJ!

I married my husband last year, and I just received my EAD and SS# this past week.... we filed married Joint as Harpa advised. It requested my job title even though I don't work yet.. I entered "Home Maker" and they were happy with that.

Hi,

I am on the same boat with my wife, we got married during 2013 and she got her SSN 2014.

No I try to fill jointly but I have to mail my filling instead of e-file.

Can you pls share you experience with me?

Thank you
