I will be eligible to apply for citizenship in a September.

My parent applied for a visitor visa multiple times and to got denied. I was told that when I become a citizen I can fill an immigration petition for them.

Questions:

1-can I start their petition application when I am applying for the citizenship or do I have to wait until I obtain my citizenship before I apply for them?

2- If I have to wait, how long should I wait? and how long does it usually take from application until the get their visa (for my parents)

4- my husband is from a different country and he is also eligible for citizenship and he want to apply the same time as I do, it is going to be 2 different applications or one?

Bear with me, this is all new to me.

Thanks

1. You have to US Citizen to petition for your parents

http://www.uscis.gov/family/family-us-citizens

2. You can file the I-130 as soon as you have proof of US Citizenship (e.g. Naturalization Certificate).

3. Your husband has to file for his own N-400 form separately from yours and pay the filing fees.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC
