Awesome!!! I also tend to remember there was someone on the forum whose case was received on 1/29 got his/her case number and IIN last Friday!

BTW, congrats!!!! I will also be watching your progress and comparing timelines whatnot for the rest of our NVC journey! smile.png

Oh yeah! That was me!. They sent me an email with our Case Number and IIN. I called every night of last week and I was planning on call that Friday night, but I got the email first. I was surprised and happy, you should get yours this week!

Hello all,

So we received the NOA2 on Jan. 13th, 2013. NVC received our petition on Feb. 6th.

Still no case number.

Should we be worried?

Also, they told me that no electronic processing is available for Mexican citizens (my husband is from/living in Mexico now). Is this going to slow things down a lot?

Thanks to all in advance!!

June 9th, 2013 - Mailed Application

June 11th - Priority Date

Dec. 19th - Transferred to TSC

Jan. 13th, 2014 - NOA2/Approval/Mailed to NVC

Feb. 6th - NVC "Received"

........

If the first 3 letters of your case number are MEP, then the person who told you that electronic processing was unavailable for Mexico would be incorrect. If a case number starts with MEP, then electronic processing would be required.

Saylin and Sascafig, it appears to be true. Mexico is no longer doing EP. I called NVC back and spoke to the super nice guy who gave me my case number and he confirmed this.

Ok, I have gone for the grieving process for the loss of EP availability for Mexico. Still in denial, I searched online for any glimmer of hope and instead found the nail in the coffin of the whole topic in the form of a Laurel Scott chat log. She says, "Mexican Immigrant Visa cases received by NVC after December 2, 2013 are being assigned a "CDJ" number instead of a "MEP" number and the documents should be submitted by mail instead of electroncially. Apparently the "MEP" thing was an experiment and for the moment the experiment has been canned... If you have a "MEP" case you still need to submit documents electronically. Only mail them in if you have a "CDJ" case." If anyone knows what they're talking about, she does. Unfortunately. *sigh*

My fellow Mexico petitioners, here's that chat log link if you want the original: http://www.scottimmigration.net/content/chat-transcript-december-18-2013

In my situation I have four separate IR-2 petitions being processed simultaneously which complicates the matter as far as some of the original documents go.

Saylin, have you ever seen anyone in a similar situation send in one "master" set of originals for multiple cases, and include one complete set of copies for each case? So far when submitting documents with USCIS I have included a letter requesting that they be processed together, and each separate stepson had his own complete set of paperwork but they were all packaged together when mailed in. Of course, no originals are required for the petition stage so will that same method fly at the NVC?
