Quick question. I recieved an email from the NVC where it mentions I can pay the AOS, but under my husband's name, it shows my address in the US. Is this normal? Shouldn't it show his address in Mex?

I am hoping for a may interview as well -

our consulate is canada and they seem to book interviews 4-6 weeks after case complete. Then its time for my canadian to put in notice at work (after visa in hand, of course!) and roadtripping across the US. Which is gonna be really fun. Gonna visit friends all across the states - most of them have not met my husband, so it will be fun for them to meet smile.png

Our timeline is similar so I'll keep an aye on you :) I'm hoping for case complete first week of April.

Also, in other great news, I got me case number on Wednesday and I already paid the AOS fee today! We should be ready to send the packet by Monday.

No luck today for a case#. Looking at posts from the last three days, it seems NVC is assigning cases to files received on Jan.24th-29th. By that count I should expect ours around March 18th, I guess? smile.png

Did you ask USCIS whether your case got shipped to NVC?

Mine was stuck @ Tsc for 30 days.

Hi there,

I just called USCIS today and they said our petition shipped out on January 27, 2014.

6 weeks is a long time for this part of the process. It seems like it's taking 2-4 weeks for most petitions to arrive to the NVC.

The NVC told me that they can't do anything about it until we reach 8 weeks.

Frustrating.

I called NVC and they still haven't given us an IIN. The guy told me to wait until NVC emailed us with all that information. I'm confused, I thought that the IIN would be generated at the same time our case number was assigned. Is this something new?

Well.. they're saying 30 business days ( 42 actual days) AFTER being received at the NVC.

PCOZ, the clock doesn't start ticking until the NVC RECEIVES your file. It took over two weeks for my file to travel from TSC to receipt at NVC. My NOA2 date was January 31st. But NVC didn't clock it in until mid-February. So I'm not looking for a case number until March 25th at the very earliest.

Do you know the date that NVC received your file?

The NVC has not recieved our file. It has been 6 weeks since it left the NSC, -- Jan 27, 2014.

The 6 weeks is out of the normal time period for applications to reach the NVC.

Hi guys, not really sure if this is the right forum for my questions I'm an August filer . However I'm going to give it a whirl we just got approved yesterday 3/6 and are in the process of getting our stuff together for the NVC stage question is aside from the photos, chat logs, phone bills, plane tickets, passport stamps, and what not what else could they ask for? I tried filling out the I-864 BUT that is just plain confusing to me and what is the DS-260? Where and when do we pay our fees? Also my husband is from Colombia anyone know what sort of things he is going to need for the interview also will he need to sign anything during the NVC stage or just at the interview?

Hey Everyone, I'm on vacation with my wife here in the Philippines and my wife's father told us that they have received a letter from the NVC. We won't be able to check what it is for several days, so does anyone have any idea what the NVC might send to the beneficiary? It's been about a month since they confirmed that they received our packets, so could it be about the interview?
